Default What discounts on 2014's are considered good deals?

With 2015s been out a bit now, some big dealers are discounted new 2015 z51 coupe for $6k off msrp.

I found a new 2014 z51 coupe with almost all the options I wanted and they discounted the car $5k off msrp. (Msrp$69k)

My question is shouldnt the 2014 has even deeper discount since as soon as I bought the car, it will be a year old already... What would be the good price to settle on? $60k Or less?

Thanks

Li

I would expect to buy a "new" 2014 for with an MSRP of $69k for 11% off or $61,400. That is about 1% under invoice.

Check the paint finish.Could be sitting for a reason? Just a heads-up on the big purchase.

Just picked up the car. The paint look good. Being a Laguna blue don't really show much of flaws. However, drove the car home and noticed driver side window has some sort of air leak and it is by my ear which drive me nuts. I'll probably look into this more tomorrow.

Check the build date to see how long the car has been in stock.

Just an FYI I was in St. Petersburg, Florida yesterday and Stingray Chevrolet, one of the largest Corvette dealers in Florida, was advertising $4,000 off MSRP on every 2014 in stock. Guess you got better than that when you said you were quoted $5k.

I c. Maybe the supplier discount helped. The $691xx msrp was discounted to $620xx. So I can't really complain. Especially I found out my car wasn't really left over since it was just built 7/2014.

Btw, this is my very first vette, and I am loving it.

Forum dealers are discounting close to 9% without supplier coupons.

Add $3k in GM Card earnings, and this is probably the best deal. Can't use GM points with supplier certs.

I got an 8.3% discount from a forum vendor on a new 2014 in March, smack in the middle of the 2014 model year. Others got similar deals from forum vendors too.

It's 8 months later now, and the 2015s are being built.

So, it seems one would need an 11% discount an a new 2014 at this late a stage, just to compensate for the additional depreciation you get hit with because you purchased after the model year run ended. Just the Supplier Discount doesn't seem like enough.

Dealer near me outside Atlanta has a used 2014 Z51, 1LT, TR, M7 carbon mirrors and spoiler, black rims, red top. 5200 miles. Asking $59,900.

I wouldn't pay it...wondering what you guys think. I'm a newbie on here. Doing my homework before I pull the trigger.

For the record, I prefer a 2LT, Z51 cause I want the HUD, NAV and the sub for the radio. I'm definitely gonna test drive it tho. This dealer won't allow new vettes to be test driven..unless you're serious about buying AND with the boss's approval. I haven't driven a manual since '05. LOL.

Sounds like asking price is close to what the MSRP was when it was new.

No Mag Select Ride or Performance Exhaust?

Ah. Good question. Doesn't say on the website. Pics of the back end appear to be the larger exhaust but can't say for sure. I'll have to call and ask...and stop by to "try it on".

I love my 2lt z51. $62k isn't too bad when a used 1lt z51 is asking $59k
