Default Another Short GM Survey!

Hi all,

After the success of our previous survey, the quality design team asked if we could get our Corvette Forum members to participate in a very short second survey. This time around, the survey is a much simpler and easier process that can be accessed through the below link:

Link edited out

As of right now, we plan on leaving the survey open until at least 10/31. If we decide to push the deadline back, I will update the thread accordingly. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please feel free to PM me. Again, thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to provide us with your insight.

Enjoy your weekend,

Austin J.

That certainly was a MUCH shorter and EASIER survey to complete.

I'm not sure why you'd want to move the ride mode control over there.

I thought it was a bad idea also.

It is not a control that needs to be under your fingertips all of the time. I normally set it once for the day (if it even needs changing) and never change it.

I think BMW has it right. They use a spinning dial to operate the display, GPS, etc. and a button next to it to select the ride mode. On my Z4 I can control 90% of the functionality with my right hand in front of the center console. I feel like the steering wheel controls should be more for radio, phone, and cruise control.

Of course everyone will have a differing opinion on it though

Sounds like they want it to look like Ferrari's Manetino control on the steering wheel...

I like it where it is.

The current location doesn't work very well. I have had my Stingray at the dealer for repair twice and they still can't fix it. This may be the change to fix this problem. There have been several threads here about the problem and I am not the only one with this issue.

I constantly change modes while driving. I do like the idea.

While at re-doing the steering wheel, will you please relocate the "Rev Match" paddles?

I kind of like the rev-match pedals where they are, easy to find on the track. The advantage to having the ride mode on the wheel would be not having to take your hands off the wheel to change PTM modes.

I'm fine with the rev match where it is, I just wish there was a way to leave it on all the time. The first thing I do after releasing the parking brake is flick that paddle.

Agree. I don't like to drive without it.

To GM: I see they asked for more input on ride mode selector, but did not provide a box for the text. Here is my input: Make the mode more useful. Specifically, in sport and track mode for the A6 and A8, eliminate AFM. Allow it in other modes, so we have a choice of hearing our V8 sound like a Prius, or not. Could EASILY be done with a firmware update. Come on GM help us out here.

My input is that the selector control is fine where it is, but it should be a discreet-position switch instead of the spring-loaded switch currently employed. There have been many threads about the erratic behavior and counter intuitive nature of the current control.

...Which is probably the reason for the survey.

I agree, center console location is fine. I don't have a problem with the current dial, but I also don't think its great either, so changing the selector is fine.
