Default Free Service Fail...Does not fit on lift at dealer

Well went to get my first free oil change today. Pulled up and was meet with "oh no that will not get on our lift" I do have a weapon X splitter which I am willing to take off and am all the way down on stock bolts w/mag ride but if I will not fit what happens if a stock Z06 comes up...?
I might need to find a new dealer to take the car too....Anyone in southern NJ have a good dealer that has a lift a stingray will fit on?

BTW I dont want to call out the dealer by name as I did not buy the car from them and they have been very nice when I do stop by.

So, they don't have any 4 arm car lifts? They only have drive on ramp style lists?

I guess, they just showed me a drive on lift in the back and it def is much to steep for the front end (may even catch the center)

If I were you I'd learn how to do it myself. Your car is much too nice to suffer damage at the hands of any dealer's service department.

I would not take a dry sump to a dealer without plenty of experience with them.

I can't believe the dealer doesn't have some 2X10X4' long boards laying around just for this occasion. All they have to do is build up the approach to the ramp. So Simple.

Geez, even my old Chrysler Jeep dealer had drive on ramps for the oil/lube bay so they could take any make or model. [head scratch]

It’s not the certified mechanics you need to be concerned with it’s the poorly trained gofers who do less technical things around the service dept. Don

I'm going to take mine to a friends brother's shop for routine service. It's located in Hammonton. They did great with my slammed C6 (aftermarket bolts)- lol they are the ones that lowered it.

Just be thankful they confided in you about their concern before turning it over to the lube guy who might have tried to drive it on the lift.

Need to find a place that has an open pit you can drive over to change the oil, so it does not even have to go on a lift.

time for DIY, get to know your car.......sure it takes awhile and you have to get rid of the oil etc but it is soooo worth it if you don't have a trusted shop.

alternative find a local Corvette LSx performance shop and go meet the guys...go there for oil changes and basic stuff...

Really? If it's a little small town dealer, I get that concern. But if you live in a city of any size, isn't it a little paranoid to not trust them on an oil change? They have online access to all the technical information, GM certified mechanics who get a great deal of training (at considerable dealer expense), and it's an oil change, after all. I get that it's not a typical oil change, but then it's not en engine rebuild either. And Z51s are not uncommon.

The service manager's job is on the line screwing up such an expensive car, as is the owners checkbook. My local dealer is the only one I'll trust with my Z, but then I live in a large city.

Took my c5 into the place I always go close to my home. It won't fit over the lip around the pit.

Thanks everyone, it's not a small dealer but I don't think they sold any c7 ( I have never seen one on the lot ) I have a few near by and kerbeck is about 40 min away. It's just a little disappointing given I drive past them every day on the way to the office and it would have been really convenient.
