Default Two questions

For those of you who have put after-market wheels on your cars, what do you do with the stock rims? Is there a market for them?

My wife sometimes puts on her makeup in the car. As a result, I have makeup fingerprints on the inside of the passenger door. I've tried using a leather cleaner, but can't get them removed. What to do?

Thanks.

Yes there is an after market value for them. Many owners want a second set for either track or all season.

There are a lot of leather cleaning products. I would try a few. AND don't let your wife put on makeup in the car. Unless your wife is Marilyn Monroe or equivalent, then let her do anything she wants.

Keep them.....the car sells better with stock wheels and tires.....either on trade in or private sale.....

Try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser to see if it removes those marks. I had some pretty dark marks on the door handle and the console of my C6 that the previous owner had done, and they came out very easily with the Magic Eraser!

Just be careful with magic eraser as i dont know how some use it. It is the equivalent of 3600 wetsand paper. Easy to abrade a surface with it....

Good point, but on the soft interior bits of my C6 it did remove the dark scuff marks without any trace of damage. It's still good advice to try it out in a small inconspicuous test area first though!
