Two Recalls Officially Issued for 2015 Corvette
Remember last month when General Motors stopped shipments and deliveries on 2015-model-year Corvettes? In that article, I said, "GM ... has stopped short of issuing an official recall on 2015 [Corvettes], but I wouldn't be surprised if one is in the pipeline now." Well, the pipeline has delivered us not one, but two recalls that cover about 900 cars.

So much for "1st model year" issues.
No year, make, model is exempt from problems.

Glad it's just a few hundred C7's in total. So far my 2014 #01614 is still recall-free (and problem free except for dim dash at dusk software reflash).
Taking it to FL this winter so it will be snow free too.
Great car so far. As was my C6 which I drove for 95,000 miles with just one problem.

Seeing are least some logic in the first year argument I decided to let Bowling Green practice and get up to speed on a few thousand cars before ordering. VIN 16xxx perfect so far.

I bought my 2015 from dealer stock. The dealer was able to complete the parking brake recall it in less than an hour. I don't think any parts are required. Just re-attach it if not properly connected.

I believe the air bag recall is the same one that affects millions of cars including Hondas, Toyotas, Chryslers, Mazda and one or two others. A Japanese company produces the defective air bags.

it seems like GM is very responsive. they must be monitoring the field data as well as their ongoing QC tests.
the GM of the past would wait and resist spending money on recalls unless there was a big stink.

Mine is VIN 28xx and it was part of the hold and everything was completed when I picked the car up.
Yes but now it's "Official" back a month ago it was just a order to stop selling them. Now it's a recall.

This is not an Accord, it's not a Camry, it's not a C6, this is a C7, I don't care what anyone says, it will take more than 2 model years to work out all the bugs, I guarantee you that.
