Default Who is using the suction cups for their Val 1?

Where do you have the suction cup mount located? On my previous C6's I had it to the left of the rear view mirror and that worked out good. I really don't want to buy an expensive mirror mount if the suction cups will work as good on the C7 (my C7 is on order).

Suction cups which I bought direct from V1 yrs ago for $1 /set, works great.
Local stereo install shop direct wire using 2 wire phone cord directly to the visor power, upper left windshield.

That's where I have it. You can only see about 3" of cable since I ran it behind the windshield trim and down through the A pillar trim to a V1 Savvy.

If you're tall and don't want your vision obstructed you can mount your V1 just to the right of the mirror up against the top molding, using the suction cups to the glass. Then it only blocks your passenger's view, not yours. At the first beep you just glance to the right and see where the arrow is pointing. The wire is still long enough to tuck behind the moldings* and reach the Savvy.

*If you have a 2015 with PDR be sure you don't block the camera with the wire.

I use the suction cups, right in the middle below the mirror. They work great.

I had used mine with the suction mounts for a while - but I found that on the driver's side next to the mirror was annoying and on the passenger's side, the passenger (my wife) complained too much. With the Blendmount under the mirror, it is pretty much a non-issue.

Thanks for all the replies, I will just plan on using the suction cup mount when the C7 arrives.

Default Mirror mount

I happen to be a fan of the mirror mount
At least 2 vendors out there but I used the V1 mount from Great Lakes Trophy. I think it is www.greatlakestrophy.com
Used on my C5's, the C6 and was going to order for my C7 but checked my C6 mount and it was the same. Just got some fresh 3M tape to replace the old tape and it works fine.
One vendor's mount is quite pricey in my mind. Think Great Lakes is something like 50% less?

Do we have visor power "do it yourself" instructions or video? I am interested in this mount for my V1. I am using suction cup mount with standard auxiliary plug in right now. I really want it hard wired.

I bought the Blendmount for my V1. I have had the suction cups fall many times in other vehicles, so I went Blendmount and direct wire on both my cars about 3 years ago.
