Default C7 Batmobile - Halloween 2014

So my family is dressing up as super heros this Halloween... so I decided to be Batman!

Enjoy!

COMING SOON - FILMING ON HALLOWEEN 2014

P.S. I know not everyone will appreciate this, but I must say I'm having a blast just thinking about how fun tomorrow (Halloween) is going to be!

Wow indeed. How many cans of paint did it take? It's like going to the theatre every Saturday morning to see the next episode of Batman.

12 cans of Plastidip.

I'll probably pile on a very thick coat when its time for it to come off. Just to make it easier. Except this time I'll use a spray gun because holy cow the cans were a pain.

When I bought my first Corvette it was a new 2008 Black on Black LS3. I remember being in the position (after graduating from PSU) to be able to afford one of my dream cars. I remember telling the dealership to get a black or silver one in by Friday and I'll take it home. And they did. I felt like such a baller haha.

Anyway, I brought it to my parents house to surprise them and see what they thought.

Well, my mom was really pissed off because she thought I was wasting money. She was giving me the cold shoulder to say the least. But my dad was very proud of me. I think he saw it as a sign of success as a parent that I was in a position to buy not just a new car - but that car. And then he went on to make the comment "It looks like the Batmobile is parked in my garage."

Batmobile indeed, Dad.

I'm thinking the adult is more happy about halloween in this case than the kids are...My friends already tell me my car looks like the batmobile and kids stare at it in awe when I drive through a parking lot. The batman costume probably freaks kids out...

Its all good - tomorrow should get less cringe worthy video.

But at least its not that time when I owned my C7 Corvette for all of two days and had a tree limb come down on it while I was driving, causing $10,500 in damage at 288 miles...

So don't worry for two reasons. 1) Its Plastidip and will peel off. And 2) I didn't get that damage fixed (minus my rear window). So all my panels are coming off to get fixed because that limb messed up the whole car.

Looks good. Want to borrower my license plates (I don't have this car anymore but I still have the plates on my wife's car). Can't give them up. Originally on a 1959 Cadi Convertible I had many years ago.

It's funny, the first time I saw a C7 in person was in a parking lot while my parents were visiting, and when I pointed it out and told them that was the car I've been talking about for so long, my mom was like "THAT one!? It looks like the Batmobile!"

... She thought she was discouraging me from buying it, but it just made the car that much more appealing, haha.

I did a Batmobile years ago with a 1st gen Neon, used pieces of painted cardboard wedged upright in the opening between trunk lid and rear fender to give it Batmobile style tail fins. Big hit with the kids, and it cost almost nothing to add them.

Just wondering what was your reasoning behind this post? To make someone's day or show that you don't know how to spell? Kind of ironic don't you think?

Irony, your name is JohnFather.

OP, it's good to see someone with a sense of humor and fun, both of which some people completely lack.
