I drive in Sport mode all the time! My gas mileage average was of 31.3 on my 846 mile trip to Rochester NY this past June. On the way back to SC it averaged 31.6.

I put mine in Sport Mode the first time with just under 600 miles the other night and wow I'm still grinning. I couldn't believe the difference in feel and sound.

I was watching the V4/V8 display the other day in the different modes except Track and although not scientific it seemed that they operated pretty much the same and was tied to speed more than anything. I was surprised that the V4 mode is on regularly in around town driving. Had thought it would be more of a freeway speed thing.

I drive mine daily and the best 50 miles is 32.6 MPG in sport mode during a Georgia mountain run with the club to Brasstown Bald. My usual daily MPG to work and back averages around 22-24 MPG all highway miles.

I agree with Tex, you bought a vette, who gives a s**t about the mileage? I don't care if it was 10 mph which is what my 455 Trans Am gets. I bought it for FUN!

It's this cryptic formula that determines how many gallons of gas you expend every mile.

All I know is mine gets better mileage than my PT Cruiser. It's also a little quicker.

Default Track mode...

I drive in track mode every chance I get....awesome...I'm surprised more people use Sport more than Track according to the responses...my 69 Vette got about 8 MPG so 20-30 MPG is fine by me....

Low gas price's + C7 ownership = best smiles per gallon!

Hybrid cars = great miles per gallon, but low smiles per gallon.

The choice is your's.

Wow. My car tells me I got 13.6 since the day I bought it. And only 10.4 in the last 50 miles. (M7 always in Sport Mode.) I couldn't possibly get 19 unless I spent most of my time on freeways.

You bought a Corvette....stop fretting over 1 or 2 MPG.

Mine has never been out of Sport mode.
Look at it this way, we are using all the petrol that the Prius owners are saving, and having a hell of a lot more fun.

6300 mile trip from Florida to California and back with multiple side trips - overall average 24.3 mpg mostly at 78-90 mph. One long stretch in west Texas set the cruise on 100 and was getting 22 mpg. M7/Z51 in Tour mode. Always use Sport in town.
