I'm nearing the end of the 6 month Onstar trial and understand that if I don't renew the service the unlocking feature of the OnStar RemoteLink App will continue to work. How about sending a destination to the nav from the map function of the app; will this also continue to work?

no... just lock/unlock/horn sound/remote start for automatics is all you get on the app without a $ plan...

My OnStar free trial period was about to expire in a few days so I called OnStar to confirm I was not renewing of course I'm told about the "unpublished" specials but after insisting I was not renewing the nice young man reminded me I'm entitled to use the RemoteLink app for 5 years. However since I already have an OnStar account on my wife's 2013 Volt I couldn't figure out how to add the second vehicle to the app.

Called OnStar back and all they needed to do is merge the accounts which they did and after logging out/in both vehicles now display in the app.

I don't see much to use unless I some how lock my fob in the car (unlikely) but you never know.

Good to know. I deleted the app. Maybe I'll put it back, just in case.
