Default Electronic Limited Slip Differential-Z51

I have a 2015 Z51 with the eLSD. The instrument readout can be configured to observe the percentage of wheel slip. The range is from 0 to 30% and is labeled 'Wheel Slip".
I have observed that in straight line freeway driving the percentage of wheel slip is approx. 10-12%.
Is this normal wheel slip for straight line driving?
I would expect wheel slippage during cornering or possibly during high performance driving but not driving in a straight line on a flat road.
Anyone out there that can explain how the eLSD works?

That sounds like a lot.

Wild *** guess: It's actually measuring the lockup percentage rather than difference in left/right wheel speed. Think of 0% as an open diff and 100% as a spool. They probably couldn't think of anything better to label it other than "wheel slip", even if it's not technically accurate.

Agree, because that's the only way I can imagine it could be measured.

Interesting thread, I have wondered the same thing as to what it really represents, mine runs 8 to 10% then when I turn it goes down to 1 or 2%. There is no real explanation in the manual other than Wheel Slip"

Is there someone who actually knows how this indication is created and what it means?

Best torque occurs when it is divided between the two rear wheels. The eLimited-Slip Differential continuously modulates torque split to improve traction, acceleration out of corners, stability on the highway and steering turn-in responsiveness. Also it integrates with stability control and the performance traction management system to improve handling and optimal traction.

At Spring Mountain they told us as soon as you press on the
go pedal the eDif locks up, let off it free wheels.
