Default No Nurburgring Times, Cars not that good?

I am yet to find Nurburgring times for C7 and Z06, we know they tested them there, and even crashed. Does this tell us something that they are not releasing numbers. Cars not as good as they claimed they are? I mean there has been two Z06's at the Nurburgring, and still nothing, and on top of that one crashed, and it seems quite a few Z06's have been crashing lately. sound like something is not what they might claim. Not to mention they are finishing up production models for customers right now. The C7 has been out in production for a long time now, and still no Nurburgring times from that either. At least for the C7 we can see Magazine tests. But I would be a little worried buying the Z06 with all this hidden data they won't release for some reason.

Thanks for the real video, first I've seen. But this isn't a lap time video, there are all sorts of cars in his way. I can't believe there is no video or test of a C7 or Z06 doing a timed lap of the Nurburging..... this is making me wonder more and more about how fast these cars really are compared to what GM is saying.

NTMD8R, Wow, what a ride. The driver sure knows how to drive fast. I don't think I could drive that fast with that much control. I'm very impressed with how a stock Z51 will run. I will never use my Z51 to its
capabilities. Just saying.. Wow..

The C7 is better than it is claimed to be. There you go.

the car's been out for over a year now, there's a reason why there are no numbers, I just don't know what. My guess is that they aren't as good as GM hoped, for if they were, they would be plastered everywhere.

Considering that the 'Ring has become the bragging point for a lot of manufacturers in the last several years it is surprising the C7 Z51 has not posted times. I know it won't be C6 ZR1 fast but interesting to see exactly where it would fall. Maybe they were waiting for the Z06 but due to the recent incidents we've all seen there was not a time GM wished to post. I did expect to see some C7 numbers by now.

Seems so simple to me. Just don't buy one if Nurburgring performance is that important. If you already have one, it's hard to see how it's important.

Yeah that's really simple, your idea is don't ask why they are hiding numbers, or go buy another car. Great logic, I didn't know it was against the rules to ask for Nurburgring times just to know them, and why they are hiding them. It would be nice to know if GM is exaggerating on there numbers just to sell you a car, or does that not matter either?

How is it not important, it's exciting, nurburgring has become the benchmark, when they showed the C7 & Z06 many couldn't wait to see how it benchmarked on the Nurburgring, but then it goes silent, for over a year with no numbers. Makes you really wonder about there claim. I for one hope it is as good as they said, I still want a Z51 or possibly a Z06, but why wouldn't you want to see it hit the ring? Remember GM is making these claims of it being faster than the Zr1, and Haven't shown anything but a few crashes, makes you wonder doesn't it? They sure made huge deal about the ZR1 on the Nurburgring, hmmmm......
