Same here. I'm not understanding why we'd want LSX branded stuff?

Wouldn't it make more sense to have LS2, LS3, LS7, or LT1 branded stuff for C6 and C7 owners?

The c5 corvette offered the ls1. From there many more LS motor have come. In everything from camaro's, gto's and many more variations of the LS block. The ZR1 has an ls9, z06s have the ls7...and so on. Hence the term LSx was created to cover all the ls types of motors. Then gm came out with the LSX block. They produced the lsx376 and the lsx454 both as crate motors. The next c7 corvettes have LT motors. What year corvettes do you guys own?
