Obviously a weight penalty, but I would opt for it.
Gene has a fix for this, have you seen it, type in Fatmat maybe it might come up that way.

Default What I Don't Like

Only two items I don't like:

First, I don't have enough money to buy a matching convertible for my coupe and,
Second, I don't have anything to list that I don't like!

Other than that, I'm fine.

The price. If Chevy wants younger buyers, lower the price.
Seat ventilators that are barely noticeable when outside temp. is above 95 degrees.
Slow seat heaters.
At first I did not like the absence of a CD player, but now I enjoy having all my tunes on a USB drive.

Seat heating and cooling must vary from car to car. My car's seats heat and cool good. The C6 seat heater was about the same. I am happy with all the features. My clutch did take 2,000 miles and one parade to finally brake-in, now performs as desired. Only design feature I'm not overly fond of is the exhaust surround, I would prefer the exhaust pipes to be in the open like the C5 and C6.

The interior was built a little too tight for larger taller people….

The smaller cockpit is a game breaker and those folks could fit into C5's and C6's….

Two I have not been able to fix:

The fresh air setting blows warm air instead of letting the cool outside air. This forces me to either put it on recirculate, or turning on the A/C. Really annoying when it's 40 degrees outside and you're getting warm air through the vents. This happens even if the thermostat is on a low temperature setting.

The OnStar/SOS/etc lights on the rear-view mirror have two settings, dim and bright. For some reason sometimes the bright setting will come on at night, and it is really bright. This seems to be an issue with my car only, because I haven't been able to find anyone else mentioning it and those three little lights are really getting on my nerves. The dim dial controls every other light, to include the backlight on the steering wheel controls, but fails to dim the mirror lights.

I can live with the electronic glitches, but....

There are a few design elements of the car i don't like:

High wheel/fender gap that other sports cars don't have
The chrome retainer across the front
The non NPP exhaust space gap
The black taillight surround Alice Cooper look
The chrome badges

Yeah i know, many love them, ok with me. I don't.....all are easily correctable....

ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT. Just give me a setting to turn it off completely.
Better vent to allow the trunk to close easily with the windows up.
Red and Blue lights on mirror were a bad idea...

I had three rows and removed two of them because of this. Then I figured out that if you have more than one row of presets you can slide them up and down. Just touch the row and hold then drag it to the bottom of the screen then from there scroll left and right and all the presets are there.

Thanks' You're right, although when I put my finger on the row to swipe it the channel changes where I touched the row preset.

I wish there were 2 smaller latches like the front of the removable instead of 1 big one in the center !!!! I think the roof would fit tighter less noise even though the dealer turned the the rear hook 2 turns !!!! Wayne

My trunk doesn't always open when I used the remote. Sometimes it gets stuck because of the thick weather stripping. When that happens I have to crawl into the trunk and push the trunk open. The entire trunk opening/closing needs to be redesigned.

That's about it, though.

As for blind spot monitoring, I had a good conversation with Tadge Juechter on that very topic at this year's museum bash. He was very frank in saying that his team is working on it and that the biggest challenge is the lack of space inside the rear quarter panels for the sensing equipment. Pretty interesting.
The C7R has a rear view tv camera. The C7 has a back-up tv camera. I asked the question of whether it could be used while driving to clear blind spots and all I got were lessons on how I should adjust my mirrors.

Why not have a wide angle view camera that can be displayed while driving? The equipment is already there.

An access panel built-in the carpet for easy access to the rear fuse panel would be nice!

Wish the heads up had the turn signal and high beam like the C6.
