Mine will be on the road as long as there is no snow or ice. Had some single digit days last week. No problems. The only time I noticed a little loss of traction is when it had been sitting outside for a couple of hours and the tires were registering cold. Otherwise I just didn't overdrive the car and it worked out great.

Like zbrett said...Chicago area has had a pretty bad November in terms of weather. I put mine away about 2 weeks ago. Detailed, Oil changed, gas topped off, fuel stabilizer added, ctek battery tender connected, dryer sheets in the cabin, steel wool in the exhaust, and cover on. It kills me to walk by it and not be able to drive it. Hopefully we will have a mild March so I can wake her up early.

Actually I drive alot more in winter down here than summer since we usually have a chance of showers usually every afternoon from the end of May to Sept.

Not like when I lived in PA....

We had an early winter in MN, read the forecast and put it in hibernation on 11.08, hopefully, will be able to drive it again by mid April. I have done this with my three previous C6's since 2006, but storing my first C7 is much more difficult to accept.

It looks like I dodged a bullet today - the forcasted snow (1-3") stayed West of Long island, so they didn't salt the roads. I may be able to get a few more weekend drives in before it goes to bed for the Winter - which happens at the first road salting.

Is that the Ultrguard cover? If so, how did you get it so tight? Mine covers the car well but doesn't fit as tight.

My Z51 is a daily driver and gets miles in anything other than snow.

Drove it in the rain last week and took it out today in a glorious sunny, cloud free day. Of course it was only 38 degrees outside yet my Z51 tires didn't explode with the force of 10 supernovas nor did I slide all over as if I was on ice!

(ya know, none of my Vettes has ever melted in the rain)

Default How many have to mothball for Winter?

Purchased a 2014 A6 all Black Vert on 11/14/2014, drove it home (40 miles) and put it away for the winter. Can't wait to detail it in the spring. Later that week the dealership where I purchased the vette was buried in the great Snowvember in Buffalo.
