A mere 7 hour drive from your location, come on!! Just kidding, I had a bunch of vacation days I needed to burn so I understand, and I'm only a couple hours away by car.

I did get an email from NCM yesterday moving my BT start time from 9:30 am to 11:30 am Thursday.
I was notified of another slip in my Buyers Tour start time, now Thursday the 18th at 1:30 pm (was 9:30, then 11:30, ...)

No big deal, I can't wait!!

My start was pushed out from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and it now scheduled to come off the line on 12/22 instead of 12/19.

Didn't realize that the buyers tour had to be purchased to find out the exact day of my build.
I called the Museum and they told me that the specifice build date to watch it come off the line can't be released with out the tour. Big misunderstanding on my part.
Not able to pay for the tour, flight, hotel and try to get off work with this short amount of time left. It may be a one time shot, but that pays for some mod's.

sorry to hear your news( slight delay) it seems you know a ton more than me when it comes to the factory. do you know how long start to finish it takes to build a corvette?, and how many corvettes are on the line being built at a time?

I believe it takes 3-4 days to complete the build process but the buyer's tour only covers about 12 hours of that. I guess we just to get see the exciting parts and they are going to spare us from watching paint dry.

I am not sure how many they have going at once. It would depend on the mix of verts and coupes since the verts take longer to build.

im just glad i put my order in when i did (10/27), at that time the a8 in the z06 was on constraint, i think it still is on the vert z06. now that a8's are going in z06's i think the a8 z51 vert i ordered off a tiny local dealer never would be at build code 3300 right now. in life and corvettes TIMING IS EVERYTHING! the day i ordered my z51 vert the dealer told me that the only car he knew for sure he could order/get was a base cp. not kidding! the trade number he gave me on my 2014( i left that car that day) and the $ 5,000 off the 2015 i had to try. winner winner chicken dinner!!

My time improved too (9:00 am moved to 7:00 am on Friday).

Congrats on getting a VIN. I received mine this morning as well.

BTW I heard they break for lunch from 11:00-11:30 if anybody wants to meet up.

I just talked to them on the GM chat and they told me this

Brandon [3:29 PM]: Thank you for waiting. It looks like the vehicle is currently at the 3400 - Broadcast status. There is a TPW (target production week) of 12/22/2014.
chris [3:30 PM]: so broadcast status means sceduled for production?
chris [3:30 PM]: sweet!
Brandon [3:31 PM]: It actually means that they are getting the necessary parts together to produce the vehicle.
chris [3:32 PM]: wow even cooler

Very excited!!!

as of today im at 3400 with build week 12/22, its looking like my car might be on the line during the two week break. that will only make it better! right? a 2 week 3 day build has to be better than a 3 day build. lol

I head to Bowling Green this afternoon.

My tour got pushed back an hour, now starting tomorrow at 12:30 pm.

Hopefully we'll run into each other hypnotoad and pettvette. For the others, we may see your cars moving through the line, you never know!

Assuming we get done around noon to 1:00 on Friday, I plan to head over to the museum for a while before getting on the road back home.
