Week of 12/22 is only a 2 day work week... The plant will restart on 1/5/15... This should be interesting.

I ordered on 10/30 with Les Stanford with Museum delivery. At last check (last week) I was at 3000 with the 12/22 TPW...

When I ordered my Museum plaque this week I had my name and January 2015 put on it...Hoping it gets built or delivered in January... edit...Looks like delivered in Jan will be the ticket...

I talked to Erik from Les Stanford last week and he was surprised to see a 12/22 TPW also. He did say TPW could still get pulled in a week which has happened to others. Chevy customer service had given me a TPW of 12/15 back on 11/21 so things could be in flux still.

According to https://www.bowlinggreenassemblyplant.com/ the plant has blackout dates from 12/22 - 1/5 so somebody is wrong.

The full buyer's tour would be tough to do if they can't finish it in those first 2 days. I don't want to make 3 trips to Bowling Green in one month.

I think the blackout dates only refer to tours. I'm pretty sure the line is running on the 22 & 23.... I'll see if I can find out more tomorrow...

Depending on what is going on during the production shut down, the line could be emptied out...

I ordered on Nov 17 from a south Florida dealership I had worked with for over 20 years, even though I now live in Alabama. Received 2000 on the 18th (what a relief), 3000 on the 20th, received the 12/22 TPW notice on Nov 24th.

I called the museum folks and they confirmed the factory was open that Mon and Tue but was sending them an inquiry to see if the factory planned to support Buyer Tours on those days, or not. When I hear back, I'll post what I hear here.

I would rather not split up the Buyers Tour as well so it will be interesting to see how this goes, whether we get build dates for that Monday. I live only a couple hours away, but like you all would prefer to keep this to two trips overall, not three.

Me too! Bought 11/15 at Randy Marion Chevrolet near Charlotte. They told me I could get it before Christmas but I figured January. I just heard from the customer service thread on here that I have TPW 12/22. I hope it gets pulled to the week before I hate driving my truck. Plus I've got some good Christmas presents coming for it. It will be so sad getting the floor mats, bra, and Z51 spoiler and no car to put them on. I did buy a Laguna blue C7 model today so I can at least look at that while I'm waiting.

NCM got back with me this morning (they're really great), confirming that the plant will support both deliveries and Buyers Tour on that Mon and Tue the 22nd and 23rd.

Now keeping my fingers crossed I get a build date for that Monday (my birthday!) so the Buyers Tour doesn't get split up across the holidays.

Just got my order pulled on 11/18 and on 11/26 was told that my TPW was 12/22 also.
I was going to try to go back and watch it come off the line, but not sure if it will end up being in January and the travel plans are too close to call with the time frame.

Just saw that the plant is scheduled to run production Saturday Dec. 13th

That might help us get our cars a little sooner... One can hope..

Great news, I've been given tentative Buyers Tours dates of the 18th and 19th, I'm psyched!!

That's great! Do they think your car will be on the line at that time?

I'm not doing the buyers tour, but I'm planning to take the public tour on the 19th. Maybe I'll see ya there....

Yup, car enters the part covered by the Buyers Tour the morning of the 18th, or it's supposed to, not sure how well they can predict that this far ahead of time so I'll remain very flexible.

Let's stay in touch as we get closer and try and meet up there, if it works out

Not too surprising, given the scheduling of the Buyers Tour news I received yesterday, today the customer service order tracking thread folks said I had moved from 3000 to 3300 (scheduled for production). They still showed a TPW of 12/22 but I'm not worried since everything we're told is "subject to change" and it may take a few days for this to settle out - so like I said earlier, I'm just going to plan to be very flexible as we get closer.

I'm more excited about my car being made then I am for Christmas. I wish my dealer would get back to me. I am thankful for Chevy customer service on here and all of you that keep updating.

I know what you mean about Christmas........ Found at today that I'm at 3300....


I already have Z51 sway bars, cargo mat, floor mats and a car cover here waiting for her arrival....

As a side note... Today I also checked on a order I place in early Sept. at a local dealer..... its still at 1100. I cancelled that order when I went with Les Stanford, but that dealer never pulled it....

ordered my car 10/27/14. red/red 1lt vert, z51,nav, chrome wheels,8a,red calipers. gave my 14 white/red 3lt vert up that day as trade, i wanted to lock up trade value with credit union discount. worked for me.
