Default Painted reflectors

Has anyone painted or replaced the reflectors around the wheel wells to match the body color?

They're not just reflectors, they're side marker lights. It would be illegal to paint them.

Body color would make them stand out, (badly) imo.....

Many tint, vinyl or smoke paint them.....to dull the red /yellow

I had these on a BMW. They appeared to disappear.

It seams to me that they pop into place. Does this mean the side markers are no
longer function able?

Painting them body color is the best way to make them disappear. Heck even GM photoshops them body color in promo photos.

I seem to recall in the C5 section a couple of years ago there was a forum vendor who was offering to paint tail lights body color with some paint that would allow the lights to shine through when on. They did a handful of them and the customers were happy with the results, but then the vendor disappeared off the face of the earth and no one else (that I'm aware of) has stepped up to do it as well.

I will be ordering a C7 soon. One thing I'm not crazy about is the side reflectors. I had a BMW M3. There are (BMW) aftermarket vendors that sell body color painted inserts that you can replace the side reflectors with. I switched mine out on my M3. The car looks so much better!
I know it's technically illegal but I'm definitely going to find a way to have my side reflectors changed to match the body color.

. Waste of time, the marker lights today are so much nicer than the first era plop on the fender style of yesteryear. Know one will notice or even care.

I have noticed several on this forum have used vinyl tint to make the lights almost disappear. Try a search on this forum.

I think what they do with the side marker lights tinted or not really makes a difference in the cars appearance, at least in the photos I've seen here.

I think the single bulb in the factory version is just cheap looking.

One of the mods I'm saving for.
