Brake ducts, super simple install with the bumper off. There was not trimming required ..

I added some weather stripping to the back open of the grill, for a nice clean install .

Looks great! My grill and the ducts are on the way from Gene, can't wait to do the install. Could you elaborate on the weather stripping idea? Is it for esthetics or does it function to seal the ducts off better?

Of course! I added 1/2 automotive weather stripping from the local autozone to seal the area where the duct and grill meet. There would be a gap if the weather stripping was not applied.

The picture below includes the weather stripping I purchased along with all the tools that were required for the install.

i don't see it in your pic, but did you have to tap any of the holes to mount the ducts? I heard you had to somewhere.

Thanks, yes. I played the youtube video as I was installing the bumper, it was a breeze. The only trick is that you have to pull UP on the inside of headlight and OUT on the outside of the headlights.

That's If you want the deflectors (which also require trimming for the smaller base wheel sizes). The ducts bolt straight to the car

Do you need these ducts if you have a Z51?

I just added the the ducts, deflects require the tapping.

I think the Z51 already has them. That's what I took away from my email from Gene. He said Z51 and Z06 brake ducts are the same when he notified me of my grille availability. I assume he means the ducts are already in place on the Z51.
