They don't function the same as the C6s, so I don't understand why everyone thinks they should act the same.
See the video about the seat comparison C7 vs C6 in my post #6 above. It's from Car & Driver mag. The difference is the C6 did not have cooling or the thick air circulating material between the heating elements and the leather that makes air movement possible.

Oh......and what was that issue if I may ask.....?

I got a 1LT Vette but my 2015 Silverado heated seats almost don't even seem to work compared to our Benz's....the cooled seats in there will freeze my janglies though (while Benz seats dont cool much at all).

This is funny, GM advises us not to drive our cars when temps fall below 40 degrees. Do we really need heated seats at 41 degrees???

Now if we could drive our Stingray's in all temps then yes the seat heaters could heat faster and warmer.

And our seats aren't ducted with AC air, to achieve something similar you need to run the AC set to floor vent. Then they work great.

The heated seats in my 2014 3lt coupe suck. They barely warm up compared to the heated seats in my $30k Prius. Go figure

Default Nope mine neither

My seats are lousy too. Hardly any heat or cooling. I took mine to the shop and they told me it was normal. Not at all. I work at a Chevy dealership and the convertible on the showroom works great. In addition the air conditioner blows cold out the top and hot out the bottom when I have the auto feature set. Again my shop says "normal". This is not normal for a $60k car. Not happy. Love the way it feels but GM has missed it on the details. Details like customer service! Every other new Corvette I have purchased also came with a little welcome gift like glasses or a book. Nothing this time.

Just Sayin......

My now ex-2014 2LT Z51 had cooled/heated seats... the cooled seats worked okay, to me, at the 3rd or high setting... it wasn't a wow effect since I felt it really wasn't strong enough... when wearing jeans, I just marginally felt the air blowing and most of the time I didn't even use it and I'm in So FL. My comparison is my Porsche and its air cooled seats are much stronger and dispersed than on the C7. I'm not putting it down at all but just that I felt it could be better performing.

Cooling works pretty well on my seats, but heating is definitely sub-par. A couple of 6 grand shifts in rapid succession warms me right up though.

Not strictly true.

It's the tires that have temp issues, not the car.

The fact that at this point, tire choices are limited is not GM's "fault". Give it a year or so (just like the C6), and more tires will be available for year-round use.

OK, back to the heated seats, I've driven with the top down in marginal temps, but with the heated seats, it allowed me to keep the top down for quite a few degrees cooler than you might think, due solely to the heated seats.

I was thinking, yea scary; wonder if leather and color of interior fabric and has anything to do with seat heating/cooling performance. My car works good - 2LT black.

Impressed with ventilated seats in my 2014. They worked fantastic in the AZ summer heat.

Perhaps, but not from the heating elements or the ventilation fans. That sounds like a reason not to have black or red seats in the summer, or not to have white ones in the winter.

Solar radiation trumps GM (or any car manufacturer)!

This is just Physics Folks, your SUV or Truck Seat is much bigger so it can house more vents and Heater elements. If you have only Heat or AC then it could do a better job.

I personally would not want a big gonking seat in my Vette, my Cooling does just enough to keep my Back from Getting sweaty on a hot day with the top down. My Seat doesn't get as Hot as my Camaro, but my Camaro don't have to alternate Heating elements with cooling ducts and the seat is much thicker affording room for "More"... So I'll live with diminished heat in my Vette over a Seat that was 1" Thicker taking up Cockpit Space.

Now the Back Seat in my Vette... GM has to do something about the leg room...

That early VIN eliminates the idea that seats were improved with later production units. Could be a manufacturing issue, some seats are assembled improperly (heating units improperly placed causing interference with cooling airflow).
