dealer greed adjustment is a little high.

The story why they have it is a guy ordered it, came to pick it up and test drove the car. Quickly realized it was too much car and declined to move forward with the deal.

I too saw the Z06 at Silver Star Chevrolet.
It looked to be fully optioned with the exception of the competition seats. You'd think those would be mandatory with the ZO6 (w/Z07).

Fortunately Corvette forum exist and that's why I ordered from Les Stanford with the credit union discount instead of 5-10 over. The funny part is that a lot of those same dealers still have 14's setting on their lots.

Who orders a Z06 amd backs out because it's "too much car". You know exactly what you're getting into with cars like this. There's too much hype and publicity not to.

Some uninformed buyer will pay 20K over when you can buy them all day long for MSRP. There are over 300 Z06's listed on Car.com & Autotrader, & many are dealer stock.

My local dealer has a yellow Z06 on his showroom floor with a $15k markup and his stingrays have a $10k markup. And he asked me why I didn't buy my Z51 from him...

C7's are 10 percent off these will follow.

As most of us know, dealers lie out their tailpipes! The guy probably backed out because they tried to stick too much of a "market adjustment" on him rather than a negotiated price. No one ordering a 650 HP car backs outs because it is too much of a car. I would expect anyone to know this isn't a Geo Metro.

I think dealer 'market adjustments' are about as ethical as Home Depot or Lowe's jacking up the price of plywood before an impending hurricane. Sure, you can do it, but that doesn't mean you should. If I saw a dealership with a 20K 'market adjustment' on a Z06, I'd politely tell them that they might eventually make that 20K on some idiot's impulse-purchase, but I'd definitely never consider them for a future purchase myself. And I'd tell them that I'd never miss a chance in the future to tell everyone that would listen how low-life said dealer was.

I agree there as well! The dealers tend to load up on heavy optioned cars and I see a lot of dealer stock Z07's, but that buyer is limited when, you hitting over 100K with such a small percentage that will regularly track the car.
These markups won't last long with over 1600 Z already built and 6 more months of production left.
