Default Car arrived at dealer with 14 miles on the Odometer?

The C-7 I ordered arrived my dealer with 14 miles on the odometer. Anyone else have double digits on the odometer. Also, does anyone know why so many miles were on the car.

Just guessing of course but the first things that come to mind are; a dealer joy ride, customer test drive, or perhaps someone at the dealership drove it home one night. Also if it comes off the assembly line with a problem, it immediately goes up on the rack for repair, so perhaps a follow-on test drive may have occurred. Mine had 6 miles on it.

Mine, picked up at the museum, had 6 miles on it. I agree with Glen e - nothing to fret about.

Approximately 1in 10 cars get an extended QC inspection. Cars that go through this can have 10-25 miles on them, depending on the results of early inspections.

Mine had 18 miles on it directly from Bowling Green. The dealer PDI folks did not drive mine. My dealer assured me it was nothing to be concerned about.

The normal QA check adds right at 24 miles to a car that is selected. Mine arrived with 24 miles on it

The next way to verify if your car was selected as part of the factories QA is to look at your BT phone screen and see if a phone has been paired to you car by a lady named Judy.

They could have reduced the number of miles they roll up but they do have a set pre-determined route so anything less is a mystery.

Maybe the test was interrupted for some unknown reason.

Mine had 26 miles, but I took it off the showroom floor, not a special order. I figure maybe a test drive or two??

Mine had 11 miles on it. They apparently like to drive the best looking cars more.

Before I ordered my 14 vette, I looked at a lot of them in the Houston area, mainly so I know what exterior and interior colors I like and what I wanted on my own vette being it was my first one. It seems all the ones I seen had 3 miles on them and all the ones I looked at were on the showroom floor, and when mind came in in may, it had 3 miles on it. Just saying.

Cool, another Jax Vette to spot on the road!

Did you get this from a local dealer?

My last Audi which i ordered from Germany arrived at the dealer (where I supervised backing it off the transporter and the PDI) had 9 miles on it. My C7 had 14.....this is no biggie at all and since you still have 99,986 miles of warranty don't sweat it!

Factory has test drivers that do random selection of cars coming off the line for test drive. One route is on the factory grounds. Another route goes out on I-65. Normal procedure.

Ordered it from Castriota Chev in Hudson, FL, just north of Tampa, they wanted to sell a car, those around Jax wanted MSRP to order a C-7.
