Is it hard to remove the shift knob on the A6 2014 SHIFTER?

Default Is it hard to remove the shift **** on the A6 2014 SHIFTER?
I was thinking of replacing the shift **** on the A6 2014 shifter . Is the top silver **** easy to remove and what involved in removing it? I was thinking of letting the chevy dealer remove it but I do not know how difficult it is to remove. Thanks Dave

I'm interested in this as well, I tried to remove mine and nearly gave myself a hernia.

That's why I am waiting with someone with knowledge of what is involved with the removal of the silver ****.
