Props to ACS and Zero7 Skirts
Ok, Tuesday is here.
I started at 9:30AM and rolled the car up on the ramps. Jacked up the back and tossed a pair of jack stands under the rear.
Read the instructions! Oh hell yes I read the instructions I was going to be drilling the car! I read the damn things twice before I did squat.
By the way, I have got to give mad props to ACS for their product AND THEIR SHIPPING! Each skirt had a sealed plastic sleeve covering it, then it was wrapped in paper, and THEN the two were wrapped in plastic wrap to hold them together, THEN they were packed in a really long carton with lots of packing paper stuffed in to eliminate movement and it even had a bloody handle in the middle for carrying! That was awesome packing and protection!!!!!!!!! Instructions were concise and quite clear. Hell, the hard part was for this old man to get the skirts on the correct side of the car! (SHUT up! Old people take their time and can get confused easily. This is Tuesday isn't it? )
Took my trusty 7mm socket and removed 3 screws on the front and 2 screws on the rear. Hung the skirt (by myself) loosely, lined it up and gradually tightened the screws as I made sure the skirt was centered and lined up correctly. Took my 3/16 drill and started making holes for the rivets. Hit the middle first to snug up the full length of the skirt. BTW, I'm adding this bit of information: After I had the skirts placed properly with the screws, I drilled at the "Pre-drilled" holes in the skirts. There was no guessing where I should make the hole. The skirts have holes in them for you to just shove a drill bit in the hole and drill for around 1/4" in depth before you pop through the car skin and then you can do your thing with the pop rivet. Popped all of the rivets except 3. I had no clearance on my front ramp to get the drill and bit aligned for a perpendicular hole. I put the car back on the ground and jacked the front up on each side to pop rivet the trouble making hole locations.
All done. 11:15AM and the car is parked in the garage ready for use. That was truly an easy mod to by myself and I had pop rivets left over! Sweet, I can always use spare pop rivets. (No, I did not miss any holes, as I checked twice to be sure the skirts were all popped up.).
1 set of Z06 Zero 7 skirts installed! I think I'll get a cup of coffee and relax for a while!

You people and your need for photos!!! LOL Books do have words in them too!!! LOL :-)
His story wasn't about showing off his car, it was to praise the simplicity of the install created by ACS. For those of us that actually read the words and not just look at the pictures, I very much enjoyed & appreciated the OP's clever write up.

I used plastic scrivets to mount rockers & splitter.

Rather than see the car (as pretty as it is), I would rather have seen the plastic scrivet to show what you are talking about as an option to the aluminum pop rivets.

I only wish it were my house. We drove up a dead end road to pose the car for pictures and some rich guy owns the house. We walked up to his door, knocked and asked if we could "borrow" his driveway and house for some car pictures. He said yes! He has a Porsche and we talked cars while the photographer snapped his pictures. The area is Indian Hills in Cincinnati and it is for the very affluent to afford to live there.

LOL, Agreed. Gotta say, I'm really getting sick of seeing that car in almost every single post I look at. Multiple times in every post. OK dude, we get it, you're proud of your car. But seriously!!
Honestly, it's because of your car and it now haunting me when I sleep that I will NOT be getting the Wheels you have, nor the Z07 side skirts, nor the factory Z06 splitter, nor do I ever want to see another Cyber Gray Corvette again!! LOL

I love the chrome wheels too. I have chrome wheels, and it seems all I see anymore are dark wheels. I will be getting the GM splitter when they're available again, as well as the side skirts, like on Jake's car.
