Window tinting - who'd you recommend?
I don't remember the guy I used for my C6, but I do remember he was pretty much the recommendation around the DFW metroplex. The rear window posed an issue for many tinters due to the concave nature, and I'd prefer to go to someone who's familiar with doing Vette's
Who would you recommend (North Dallas for me, but list your areas for others)?

The tint dude at Vandergriff in Arlington is excellent. No bubbles or issues with any of my Corvettes that he has tinted. He's also done several other cars in my family

I haven't had mine tinted yet, but I am seriously considering Tritek Window Tinting. BBB A+ rating, they tint a lot of exotics. Their gallery has a number of C7's.

I had my windows tinted by Earmark Audio in Lewisville. The tint specialist splits time between the Lewisville and Plano locations. I had to have mine scheduled out so that he worked at the specific location. He was great. Earmark has done a lot of work on exotics. As a matter of fact he had 2 there while also working on my 'Vette.

I also need a tinter but in Phoenix instead. I got tint done by Sainz and it looks like crap, not to mention that they couldnt get a smooth application on the back glass where the gradient is. Needless to say, I am unhappy with the outcome and need a good tint shop to replace my tint at a quality level that suits a Corvette. I also want to do carbon ceramic or nano particle tint.

Very few installers will get the back glass perfect. There is a guy near me who people swear by but there were all kinds of bubbles on the C6 rear glass. Whomever you get, make sure they understand the difficulty with the rear glass or you'll be unhappy. Look for someone who has done a C7 before and ask to see pictures.

I'll probably get mine tinted, however I'll call the local 'exotic' dealers to determine where they have their tinting done.

Pro Tint in Plano did mine, great work with plenty of experience on C7's. See their Facebook page for pictures.

So if anyone managed to get their rear glass tinted in Phoenix and has no bubbles up at the to pof the glass where the ceramic gradient is (the little C7 emblems on the glass that make up the blacked out area) let me know, it's driving me nuts having bubbles there and I also want to go darker...thinking 15% in the rear with 20ish% on the sides.

Whether it's for appearance, heat rejection, UV blocking, etc. it's a necessity (to me) in Texas.
