Carbon Fiber Stage 1 Z06 Splitter
I want a carbon fiber splitter, but I don’t like any of the current cf splitters available because they follow the contour of the front bumper. The fang style looking splitters are just not my taste. No offense to those of you that have them on your C7s.
I like design of the LG Motorsports, but the lip is a little too wide in the center. Not to mention it is $1,700 shipped.

I really like the Z06 stage 1 splitter, but as you know there isn't a carbon fiber version. I received my Z06 front splitter and grille last night. I dropped the splitter off today at a local carbon fiber shop. They are going to use it to make a mold and make me a carbon fiber version. He said he may make a second mold that is a little wider but not as wide as the LG Motorsports version.

Here is the pricing information. If am violating any forum rules let me know and I'll delete this post.
As you know, I've been working directly with the company that manufactures Lashway Motorsports's current carbon fiber and fiberglass aero kit (they've sold somewhere in the neighborhood of a HUNDRED of those kits). That version of the kit was on the cover of Vette Magazine.
Version 1.5 of their original aero kit is ready to go. They're going to be available in clear coated carbon fiber and Carbon Flash Metallic painted (also clear coated) fiberglass. The kit on the pictures below is fiber glass. I'll post pictures of the carbon fiber splitter next week as soon as I get mine.
Everything is manufactured right here in South Florida, so nothing is outsourced. You aren't getting parts made in China.
The usual pricing is $2,499.99 for the carbon fiber kit. They're going to reduce the version 1.5 carbon kits to $1,999.99 (plus shipping). The fiberglass kits will be available for $1,499.99. They already have 5 fiberglass kits in stock (1 week lead time when they're out of stock) and 2 weeks on the carbon fiber.
If you only want the front splitter it is half the price. They will also be manufacturing Z06 style rocker panels in fiber glass and carbon fiber.

In for pics. I like the GM OEM Stage 1 Z06 splitter but would like to see it in both carbon fiber and Carbon Flash. The latter I'm surpised that RPI isn't already offering. Unless they're having a hard time buying them just as much as everyone else lately.

The stage 1 Splitter is the best looking one for a C7 imo. I too really dislike the ones that follow the fangs. With that being said, I'd really like to see one done in carbon flash. I was gonna attempt it on mine, but didn't wanna do any irreversible damage, considering how hard they are to get.

Carbon fiber is so brittle and easily damaged, I do not know why anyone would put it on a street car.
The factory material is the best of both worlds...It looks good, it is less likely to get damaged, and if it does get damaged in only costs $100 instead of $1500.
If a supplier could just make a plastic copy of the GM design, they could still sell as many as they can make.
I agree you don't need a splitter wide enough to walk on. Just enough to make the front end not look so bare.

My thoughts exactly. I couldn't take worrying about my splitter everytime I took my car on the road. So glad GM designed the stage 1 Splitter and it's priced like a wearable item should be.

I had a carbon fiber front diffuser on my previous car and was very low. I had very little gap between the wheels and fenders....could hardly fit my index finger in there and I never had any issues. I am not going that low with my C7 so unless I run over debris with the front end I'll be fine. You definitely have to be careful entering strip malls/gas stations with steep entrances but driving on the street was not an issue. It may be different for others depending on the quality of their roads, but in Miami our roads are pretty smooth and well maintained.

They wrapped several parts on my previous car. The finished product looks like it's made from CF.
This is one of the parts he wrapped.

I am not affiliated with the company in anyway other than being a customer. I don't stand to make any profit from sales of their parts or labor, but I'll pm you his information so you can contact him directly if you're interested.

Just wanted to post an update. The shop should be done with the mold next week. They will have the first splitter the week after. I'll post pictures as soon as I get some.

This sounds awesome, and there definitely is a market for it.
The OEM plastic stage 1 splitter is like ~120. If someone made a CF one in the 200-300 range I think it would sell like hot cakes.

I don't know the final pricing, but $200 - $300 is highly unlikely. Real cf composite is expensive. After you add all the overhead cost, I'd guess it cost $300 or more to make.

Here is a Z06 visible carbon fiber splitter with cf end caps:
Caravaggio -
This is on a Stingray, but it is available with hardware for the Z06. AND the rocker side skirts are also available!

I like it except for where the contour in the center follows the bumper fangs. I like the shape of the stage 1 best.
