This Is Not A Chevrolet...
I have just had the C7 a few days and GM might have given Cadillac some of Corvettes engines but it appears Cadillac has given Corvette some of its luxury and know how. You can really see the cross over engineering going on between the GM divisions now and all I can say its about time. This aint no Chevrolet my friends I see alot of Caddy in this cars DNA and thats good. Even the seat emblems are right from cadillac.

The reality is that Chevy is building far better vehicles lately. The highest rated car by Consumer Reports (until the latest Tesla) was a Chevy (Impala, I think).

I always liked that, at least since the C5 if not before, it is a "Corvette" first. The word "Chevrolet" does not appear anywhere on the car, and the bowtie is absent as well except for a tiny one in the crossed flags.

Glad they got rid of the GM chicklets. I would've just removed them like on the C6 anyway.

Old guys like cool cars too
I am about to turn 55 years of age and I love driving both my C7 Stingray and my 09 CTS4 depending on the season and weather. Both great cars, even for us old guys.

C'mon man, a 3500 lb corvette in the age of govt mandated nannies and safety equipment is pretty lithe. a 460 HP track eating beauty with a beastly V8 is unbeatable!

The ATS-V is a beast! I'd rather have a C7 but except for it, a Cadillac would be on my radar.

The C6 was 7.9 lbs/hp. The C7 is 7.2 lbs/hp.

And some of that weight was required given the amenities the C7 now has. You can't add stuff without adding weight. I think they did a pretty good job considering. I certainly wouldn't want to give up electric windows or seats.
