Default Best new Corvette story yet....

Last night in the gym a guy asked me how am I liking my c7. Great I said very fun car. Then he told me he heard from a salesman at Autonation in Corpus that a customer landed his helicopter in the dealership parking lot, paid cash for a zo6, and said to title it in his secretaries name and she would be picking it up later in the afternoon then took off again.

It sounded so bizarre I had to call the dealer on the way home and ask about it.The salesman that answered said no one has ever landed a helicopter at the dealership. But he liked the story too. He did however say he had a fully loaded black z06 for a 102k and would give me 65k for mine if i wanted to trade.

Anyway such a bizarre story especially since you should try to keep an affair more under the carpet so to speak than buying a z06 for your mistress in a helicopter.

Maybe it did happen and the salesman was told to keep quiet about it.

You can't just land your little hoppycopter anywhere you want. Takes a little advance planning and permissions.

I guess I shouldn't land in dealer parking lots anymore. She was very grateful though....

Aside from me not being a fan of piston-powered helos, Google the R22's safety record sometime....

I've never had a problem with Robbie's. Flown them all over. But I do prefer Jet Rangers for doing heavier work in the field (I'm a field geologist). Just my preferences.

500's are my preference (never a NOTAR but tons of time in C and D models)

When I was considering getting my license it was going to be in a r22. The one lesson I took in it showed the the r22 had really sensitive controls. I mean crazy sensitive.
