Default First Complete Wax Job and Detail....

2015 Z51 A8 3LT

I used Meguiar's NXT all over the car and then the front, mirrors, headlights and wheels got an extra coat of Rejex.

Default Claybar

I could not believe the muck that came off my car when I clay-bar'd it before waxing. It is SO much smoother now. The finish went from feeling like 200 grit sandpaper to a baby's bottom.

Highly recommend it.

Have used NXT sealant for years, stuff is great, must let it dry at least an hour, I usually wait 24 hours and apply another coat.

I really like that black carbon flash on the hood. I didn't order it, but I think I'm gonna have a vinyl shop add it. Looks great. It was going to be my color combo until we decided on the red instead.

That looks amazing. Did you compound or polish first?

I mostly use Griot's products on my cars. However, I have done a couple of coats of NXT on my daily driver (black raven CTS v-sport) and stuff really does protect and create a mirror like finish. I used McGuire's compound on that car and before first application because was covered in swirls and random scratches from rock stricks. Some additional light scratches got introduced from unknown sources and another coat of NXT filled them flawless. I may never compound again

looks good!

meguires is about to come out with their competitor to this, as it is overwhelming their "wax sales"

technology has changed.....I'll never hard buff again, wipe it on and walk away...here's two that do it well:

Wow?

Does this mean we stop worrying about swirls? Just put this stuff on and dust/quick detail or even machine wash? Almost like spray on x-pel?

The new "sprays" are becoming the wave of the future for deatiling finishes. These products are not "cheap" but will last for several applications. Also available at autopia.com

Check these out:

http://www.autogeek.net/pinnacle-paint-coating.html

http://www.autogeek.net/diamond-glass-coating.html

http://www.autogeek.net/black-label-polish.html

http://www.autogeek.net/pinnacle-wheel-coating.html

http://autopia-carcare.commerce-search.net/search

I use these products on all of my premium sports cars that I own.

You won't be sorry using these products, especially if your a "detail junkie" like myself.
