Interestingly enough, post the same question in the C2 section and you'll get a completely different answer

I really like the C4, it's the Vette that made me want to be successful in life so I could buy one. I though C3's were the most horrible cars on the road.

IMA based on looks alone.

C2 (you can probably guess my age group)
C7
C6 GS
C5-C6 (standard version)
C4
Later C1's
C3 , not bad, just looks like it belongs to Batman.

Of course, verts. for all versions.

I'd really love to have one perfect example of each. Those would be in no order;

Yellow C7 ZR1 vert.
Yellow C6 ZR1
Yellow C5 vert.
White C4 vert. 94-96, with red interior, white top
Red C3 vert. 68-74
Black C2 vert., 427 with red stinger hood, side pipes
Black 58 C1, love this weirdly chromed vette

This is difficult due to different submodels in each gereration. I will base mine on both the base car for each gen and what i consider the top dog for each generation.

BASE

C7
C3
C6
C4
C1
C5

Top dog

C7Z
C6ZR1
C4 GS
C3 BB Bumper car

One interesting trend I have noticed. Many like the C2 generation as their favorite, and C7 as second favorite I wonder how many have actually owned a C2 and obviously own the C7. I have own both the C1 and C2 and as far as ENJOYMENT and FUN TO DRIVE the C7 has it all over the C2.... As a previous owner of both generations, both the C2 and C1 were terrible to drive, poor drivability, great horse power, but uncomfortable hot inside, and poor visability.

So, I really believe the style of the C2 without a double is one of the best ever, but overall unless you owned one you have no idea how much of a bad car it was.....

Just wondering...

Based on exterior and interior styling:
c1
c5
c6
c7
c4
c3

But I intend to buy a C7 for performance reasons.

Btw, it seems there is a common theme with the C4 being last on the list. I liked the looks when I first saw it, but the overall design of that car was really poor and a huge step back.

Interesting that a C3 ZL1 or a C4 ZR1 did not make your "top dog" list.
