I owe some folks on this forum an apology
I recall over the last several months several occasions when posters would say how dated the C6 looked next to the C7. I thought that sounded kind of "snooty" and out of place. I loved my C6 and still do.
Well guess what, I now feel the very same way and I cannot believe I am saying it, but it is true in my eyes.
Here is another shocker for me. I owned quite a few C2 corvettes. For those of you who know what it means, I had a Bloomington Gold Certified and NCRS topflight 66 coupe as well as many others. We'll here goes, I now think the C7 even makes the C2 look dated and that is a major leap for me.
I've only owned my C7 now for about 10 days, but I am totally stunned and taken with the car and its many positive merits of style, performance and luxury all neatly wrapped up in one fine package.
BTW, the fit and fitment on my car is excellent as is the paint.

The C7 (any model, any version) = best bang for the buck, best performance value, best overall complete sports car package, etc... etc!
The C7 accolades continue to pour and accumulate: http://www.corvetteblogger.com/categ...rds-accolades/

Threads like this are helping me move forward with my lifelong desire to own a new Corvette. After over 20 years in the Army traveling around every 2-3 years and 20+ years in the Corporate rat race I have finally retired, kids on their own, house paid for and decided now is the time. Been driving German cars since the late '70s but now ready to take the plunge. The reviews of the C7 have been overwhelmingly positive so I am ready to sit down, work up a build sheet and find a dealer willing to deal. This forum is a great place to learn about the C7 and I really appreciate all of the information that is available here. Keep up the good work.

Like the OP I've owned a number of Corvettes since 1974, at least one from each generation including several Bloomington Gold cars. They have all shown evolutionary improvements yet retained their own 'personalities' so I have a difficult time finding too many faults. They're all Corvettes, just different. Even my '84-an acknowledged bottom-feeder today-was a hit when introduced with 50,000+ sales in an extended MY run. I still enjoy taking it out for a drive, 30+ years since I bought it. The C7 surpasses them all, for sure, but I'm not about to take shots at the earlier models. What looks 'dated' now will possibly be considered 'classic' and someone's dream car in the furure.

I too have owned Vette's since the early 70's and feel the C7 is the "BEST VETTE YET" but having said that I can't wait for the C8.
We can start the love affair all, over again.

Finalist 2020 C7 of the Year -- Unmodified
Congrats on your AW C7,I just think it took some of us longer to see the LIGHT like myself who took extra time to warm up to the C7. Post some pictures of the new ride.

I have owned my AW vert for about 8 months. I sold my 2012 Carlisle Blue C6 to buy it and I have never looked back. What a car!! Interestingly, my AW was virtually flawless with just a little orange panel on a couple of the panels. I am starting to wonder if different colors of paint just lay on the car better then others? I have heard few complaints about the AW paint jobs, while other colors have their owners getting ready to sue GM. Just wondering...

Congrats on your new C7, actually becoming a C7 owner finalizes the belief that GM has done a fantastic job in designing the C7 and making it the success story that it has become.
I came from a '10 GS with the 4LT package and IMO, my Stingray exceeds the performance, and all exterior and interior features of my C6.

I currently own a C6 Z06 and it was the first corvette/ American car I have ever bought myself. I came to the C6 because of the outstanding performance and looks. The American small V8 was also incredible. Although I truly love the car, there was still something missing, the interior and the fit and finish was just not up to the standards of an true high end sport scar. it's kinda like a hot supermodel with smelly armpits. You just wish she had dry armpits...lol. The C7 though, has really stepped up it's game with the new upscale interior, the hot looks, the more powerful engine and significantly higher performance. I decided to stick with another Corvette. I had actually looked at an R8, an F-type v8- R, Astin Martin Vantage and even an F430 coup. But in the end the new Z06 had the most appeal for me....crazy it's going to be the second American car I have ever own.

My wife and I feel the same way. The C7 has won us over and after owning many Vettes the past 18 years I can honestly say the C7 is by far and away the best!

I also never looked back. I was the original owner of a C3 (75) for 38 years along with that I had a couple '72 LT-1's. Last year I parted with my '75 and do this day no regrets the C7 is totally worth it. Quite a difference in the purchase of a new '75 vs the 2014. But 7200 miles in 7 months time last year and now waiting for spring time to be on the road again.
