Borla ATAK on the way to me....thanks Ben@WeaponX
I had ordered and paid for the ATAK w/ NPP from another vendor and because of some mix up it wasn't able to be delivered. I am on a short timeline based on some other mods being done so timing was crucial. Sadly, this exhaust isn't readily available with it on backorder from every vendor i called. Enter Ben from WeaponX Motorsports. I have his areo kit in process as part of my winter mod plan and I contacted him to see if he could do anything for me with relation to the exhaust. Ben called in some favors directly at Borla and low and behold, despite this ATAK exhaust being on backorder everywhere I looked, it's being shipped today directly from the manufacture.
Ben's been great to deal with and I would definitely recommend WeaponX to anyone looking for an honest and helpful vendor who delivers on promises!

Very happy to help Matt! Borla sponsors the Cadillac Challenge and I sponsor Matt and Stacey's CTS V that took the overall C2 championship. So, I called Matt and he made the introduction. Borla really did come through for you... I just knew a guy who knew a guy and made some calls/emails from Mexico... just for you buddy!
Their promotional video was awesome so I'm excited to see this on your car and get your first hand impression.

Yeah Ben's great. He got my side skirts to me quickly as well...not that installing side skirts is an emergency exactly but it was the last weekend that I had any free time for awhile and I wanted them on there. Great service all the way around.

I ordered mine yesterday from another vendor with the X pipe. Are you adding the X pipe too? I'm getting 11856 and 60547. Like you I found the factory is out of stock too but I'm not on a time constraint so I'll patiently wait!!

Bold move, I've been considering the Borla atak w/npp for my c7. I heard it in person on a demo car last summer at Carlisle, Pa. Sounds great.
I was about to have their people install it on my car while I was there but between price and wait time it didn't work out. Please let us know how it works out for you. I'm worried about a CEL after hearing others On this forum complaining of this after changing stock exhaust. Hope you don't have any problems.

I'm only doing the axle back, so I don't have any worries about a CEL. I love the sound and certainly looking forward to posting back once everything is in place.

There were a flurry of posts about another NPP supporting exhaust that generated trouble codes based on the AFM / NPP valves themselves having an issue opening and closing as expected by the stingrays computer.
The engine shouldn't through a CEL based on xpipe, axle back, nor both being replaced specifically. I am running the Corsa straight double helix and stock NPP without issue.
I have been looking at either the Atak or Billy Boat Fusion as the next step.

Borla part #60547 (removes stock rear cats) or 60548 (retains stock rear cats).

What's the real advantage to the Xpipe with factory cats? Different sound? Better flow?
You should add in their X-pipe too while you're at it, it will not give you any CEL error codes.

I've seen a lot of factory cats fail internally with over 12-13psi on the factory supercharged LSA and LS9 engines.

curious on how quiet it is in quiet mode.
I have a thing for modularity. I love it that you can make it quiet or loud with a button. As much as I love loud, sometimes I prefer quiet.
it does sound great from few vids that I saw though.

I had them laid out side by side awhile back, you get rid of the secondary cat/resonators and thus a better flowing exhaust yes which is especially important with the boosted cars.

If you opt for the 60548 to retain your secondary cats (which are not monitored by the ECU) you'll see smoother, less crimped, bends for slightly better flow. Borla's installation instructions have pretty good pictures of everything side-by-side so you can see how they all compare.
