East Bay area of California
Our cruises were up and down East 14th st in the Hayward and San Leandro, CA (San Francisco/East Bay area) in the late 50's. 5 miles of main drag between two different drive inns that looked exactly like the one in American Graffiti film.

In Alamogordo, NM, we cruised between the A & W Root Beer Drive-In on one side of town and the Hi-Di-Ho Drive-In on the other. I went from a '63 Nova SS to a '67 Impala to a '69 Vette (all coupes) for cruising. I alternated riding with my best friend who, depending on which year it was, had a '65 or '67 442 or a '67 L 71 StingRay (red with black stinger) coupe. Those are such great memories. It's really difficult to believe it's been about 50 years ago.

I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley in southern California. After a party, a movie, a dance or whatever, we'd always head up to Bob's Big Boy drive-in on Colorado Blvd, in Pasadena. We'd cruise through the drive-in a couple times till we found a space, then load up on burgers and malts. Finally, we'd drive around to the alley that ran directly behind Bob's and roar up and down it with our Lakes pipes open. My little '53 Ford's flathead V8 was LOUD!

South St Louis county in the early 60s .. Cruise between the Steak & Shake, McDonald's and the Chuck-a-Burger .. Line up races, and drag on River Des Pere drive, or sometimes cruise out Hiway 66 to around the old Chrysler plant and race out there ..
Couldn't get away with that kind of behavior today, but some great memories, and no one got killed.

Adventure Car Hop is the place to go for food that's always right>
WOO WOO GINSBERG...get my 45 record.
Out on Route 1 in Saugus, remember it well.
How about Channels Ice Cream in Peabody, or drag racing on the old dump road, Lynnway near the Carwash.
Or how about running with no lights on Danvers Road....
Bringing back memories here...
Certainly was not a lack of hot cars on the Northshore of Boston, due to the GE in Lynn. MANY cars of all types.
Remember AL GRILLO, on the Lynnway with ROWS of Cobras, all type all years...
Or how about Beacon Chevrolet, sold more Corvettes and Camaros than anybody on the Northshore.

Our fav spot was on the east river drive heading down from the Brooklyn bridge on the viaduct to the battery. We would stop the traffic let 2 cars drag, then let the traffic go

Late 70’s So Cal in a 65 mustang. Cruse the Orange mall, just drive around and around like idiots until the cops chased everyone off. Every few months make the drive to Whittier and cruse Whittier Blvd. Looking back I don’t understand why we thought it was fun. Although we were usually smoking something that I would lose my job for now.

I didnt put in my first post-My car was a '65 tri-power GTO rag top. The car was a real animal with a close ratio 4 speed, posi- transistor ignition, 3.90 rear end (or maybe 3.91) and other goodies I am too old to remember!
It ran like a raped ape! From light to light all along the boulevard in NE Phila!
Those were the days!!!!
