Default Thanks to Theta

While this may be more relevant to the tech forum, I figured it would get more visibility here.

While I don’t think I will use many of the “how toos” Theta has posted, they are a great resource and I appreciate him taking the time to post them. Don

Default Oil Life Monitor

While I know there have been multitudes of oil related posts, this one is a bit different.

While my C7 isn’t strictly a short trip machine, it hasn’t been on any long trips other than the 320 mi run getting it back from the selling dealership.

So...at the rate I am going on my second batch of oil, I suspect that at a year, I won’t be anywhere near 0% on the OLM.

I have a hard time getting my head around leaving oil in the crankcase for a year despite all the advances in oil technology. I use either Mobil 1 Extended or Castrol Edge. Opinions? Don

Same situation, i change at 5000 miles or 9 months, whichever first.

I use Mobil 1 extended performance on my Z51. Changed at 500 and again prior to storage for the winter. For the small price to pay I'll change every 4000 miles max or and the end of the season if needed.

Wondered where my oil life thread went. Must have been a computer fart. I intended it to be a separate thread from thanking Theta. Sorry about that. Don
