Default Durability of Sueded Microfibre Seat vs Mulan Leather

Hello I am going to be spec'ing out my new baby for a spring delivery and was going to be getting the Standard GT Seats in Jet Black...as I was looking at the options, I was intrigued by the Sueded Microfibre Seats.

Having had a number of C5's and C6's and never really been happy with the quality of the leather and the durability (mostly of the bolsters and it looks like the suede parts are on the flats) I was wondering if there would be a wear advantage to the Suede option.

Any early opinions ?

Thoughts on the Mulan vs the Suede ?

Appreciate any feedback !!

Not sure about the Alcantara seats but I do know GM only uses hides from only the tenderest baby Moulan's.

After nearly 10,000 miles, the micro-suede in my Brownstone interior shows no sign of wear at all.

Had the Alcantara inserts, steering wheel and shifter on my CTS-V. Over 3 years and 38k miles, it still looked like it did on day one. I went with the inserts on my 3LT based on that. I does provide more grip and doesn't retain heat like leather.

I hope the Mulan ranchers don't go out the same way the Nauga ranchers did when leather became soooo popular.

Everything I've seen is basically water with mild soap and gentle use of a tooth brush to remove dirt. Follow that up with a damp towel and then a dry one.

I haven't needed to do anything other than vacuum it.

You have to be at Interior level 2 or 3 LT/LZ...it is not an option in the level 1

Under Interior:
The first few options are Mulan Leather and the last few are Sueded Microfibre

I agree with CM, I have around 9K miles and see no signs of wear at all. I admit I was scared of the "Mouse Fur" but just loved the Brownstone color, I am not sorry I made the decision.

I love mine, haven't had a issue yet and I drive mine to work and back on a regular basis. I even bought an extra gear shifter just in case but now feel it won't be needed for a very long time.

Brownstone sueded here. I was having dinner at an outdoor patio looking at the vert with the top down. Sprinklers went on and soaked the seats before I could move the car. I had towels in the trunk which saved the day. No issues, everything dried with no signs of what happened.

I didn't realize that the Kalahari interior didn't have matching stitching o the wheel/shifter with suede. I've been try to find the part number for such and guess that is why. How much was the shifter? I miss that option from my CTS-V the most. Felt awesome and not slippery.

I want to say it was around $80-$90 bucks. It wasn't that cheap (in my eyes), found it on ebay.

Comp seats in the 1LT gives mf seat inserts, steering wheel, and shifter.
