Default 2015 rear differential leak

Has anyone had a fluid line from the elsd pump to the differential leak? Had my 15 Z51 on the lift at work to clean the wheels good and noticed fluid leaking from the line where it connects to the hydraulic pump to the differential. I have 1700 miles on her and this is the most awesome car I have ever owned.

I was looking to see where differential fill plugs where located and I saw the drivers side leaf spring covered with oil. Cant see exactly where the leak is but maybe by the seal. I keep car in my garage and havent noticed any puddles. Did you find what the source of your leak was?

Possible axle seal?

Since your profile doesn't show where you live, I can't offer a really good guess.

However, my profile says Jacksonville Florida. I don't have any issues with a leaking real seal as I live and drive in a relatively warm climate.

Additionally, this leaking is a documented issue if you live and drive the car where the temperature gets cold. The seals leak in the cold. There is a new part coming out for the seals to handle the cold temperatures and NOT leak.

If you see a leak at a hose connection, that would be something that might cause a leak. Dealer time!

I hope this response has been helpful to you.

Although you already know this, I'd see your friendly dealer for repair. It shouldn't leak.

just had both axle seals replaced under warranty. my tech said that this was a common problem with the C5's, but he thought they had fixed it with the C6's. Maybe it's back in the C7's. In any event, take it in to a reputable dealer. I can't imagine the damage if the diff runs dry, and don't want to find out.

good luck. I mean that sincerely, not sarcastically.

The i.d of that fitting has an o-ring that the pipe seals against and there is sealant on the threads that screw into the diff case.
