Default C7 spindle polishing...

Hey my wife and I have 15 Shark Gray.

I noticed the front and rear spindles stand out between the top of the rotor and inner upper rim. Stand out meaning... Very visible and look dull.

Nobody has ever mentioned this and my idea would be to polish them. At least they would look good ??!??

What do you think ?

Spindle refers to the machined axle that the hub rotates on while supported by the wheel bearings. You can't see that with the car assembled. What are you referring to? Rotor hat perhaps?

That is it. It's the top side that I can see both front and rear. Just look at your rotor. Just above the middle you will see the top of the spindle

A bit less sophisticated than a C7 but the general architecture applies:

I've seen earlier..C4,5,6's at car shows where they wet sanded and polished them out. Not sure if that is a metal that polishes?

I'm sorry - but this is also incorrect nomenclature. The correct term for polishing in this context is "****"........

Acceptable behavior - you have a Corvette; that implies some level of OCD behavior. Polish away - just remember that you MUST post results with a picture. And yes, I am enjoying a tasty beer right now.....

I'm sorry, but this, also, is incorrect nomenclature. It is not OCD...It is CDO, with the letters in alphabetical order - as they should be.

If it bothers you, polish up the suspension - it will look good. I polished up the suspension on an '84 Vette I had and I liked it a lot.
