2014 Recall - Fuel Fill Pipe Anti-Siphon Grid Out of Position
#21
just checked mine and it is on the list. 25772 built 5/14/2014. I think I there was an email sent to me about service but I disregarded it because my car is covered for the winter.

I just had that tank replaced earlier this month, mine wasn't leaking either, but figured I may as well get the updated part.

I just got off the phone with my dealer, they're supposed to inspect the car first before ordering the part. I'm dropping mine off on Tuesday next week.

I have had this problem from day one. I can only get fuel into my car is the tank is way low like 1/4 full. If it is more than 1/2 full no way can I top it off. Dealer says there are no bulletins and therefore I don't have a problem.

Mine looked to be in the correct position.

Try rotating the nozzle to 90 degrees.... Not sure why, but this seems to work...just by changing the angle the fuel goes in.

Makes sense, I'll check. I'm going in anyway to get my armrest replaced under warranty so I'll let them do the inspection too.

Vin# 164XX Built 2/21/14 made the list. Just sent an e-mail to my Service guy asking if the tech has to review or if they'll order and replace. I have never had a problem with filling up. Had not heard about the washer tank replacement. This is becoming a PITA...3 recalls in less than a year! Never a single problem with my '86, '98, '01, or '07. And I own a lot of GM stock...rethinking my position on this.

General Motors is releasing Product Emission Recall 14689 today. The total number of U.S. vehicles involved is approximately 14633. Please see the attached bulletin for details. 2014 model year Chevrolet Corvette may have been built with an out-of-position "anti-siphon" grid within the fuel fill pipe. As a result, the grid may move over time and become located from slightly deeper in the fuel fill pipe to totally dislodged from the pipe and move to the bottom of the fuel tank. Your GM dealer will replace the fuel filler pipe, and if necessary, inspect the fuel tank for the dislodged anti-siphon grid. Just came across this info. Sounds like GM will be mailing out info on March 3.
Just thought I'd add GMs website for recalls if anyone needs it.

Vin #22487 is included in recall. I hate fixing things that are not broke, not going to rush having it accomplished. Sometimes remedy changes.
