Manual transmission owners: Are you using Active Rev Match? Why or why not?

I use it all the time. Makes for much smoother shifting IMO. I wishing would stay on all the time. Works real well.
During the breakin period, I used it but made sure that when I downshifted it wouldn't rev higher than 4k.

I use it quite a bit now. I didn't at first as I was previously used to rev-matching myself, but the feature has definitely grown on me!

I think you don't need it. The revs drop so slowly between shifts that they're perfectly matched without ARM engaged. When it is engaged, it seems to over-rev the engine by a wide margin making you look like someone who can't shift properly.

I toyed with it when I first got the car, but in rush hour it is a pita. If you are not careful with the clutch, the rpm boost can cause the car to leap forward a bit.... Which is not a good thing when there a car close to you. During off peak hours and tracking, can be fun.
And it can teach you 'optimal' shift points...if it doesn't kick in, so to speak, you know you hit the shift just right 😃

Around town, especially in traffic is not what this is designed for. It's for spirited driving where an experienced driver would already be rev matching and as others have said, it just makes one less thing you need to worry about when you are driving aggressively.
I use it as needed and thinkmits a great feature.

Arm
I use it and I love it, especially in sport (or track) mode with NPP. If I am in touring mode, I usually shut it off, but then I am driving on a highway and I don't shift much.

The system is activated and
deactivated by pressing either of the
paddles marked REV MATCH on
the steering wheel. The system
must be activated with each new
ignition cycle.

My feelings on this appear to be completely different than the others I read here.
During regular driving, I like to blip the throttle myself. (I've been heel & toeing for years.) So, I generally leave ARM off.
When in traffic, I like to have it on. Makes life a little less tedious.
