Default Convertible Owners- Have you tried the C7 Wind Restrictor?

Pros? Cons? Would you buy it again?

Thanks for your opinions!

The C7 convertible has virtually no cockpit wind vortices at posted speeds. Windrestrictor is not needed. My previous C4 convertible was a lot worse.

I don't feel it's needed. Much better than my C5.

I might add though that the wind restrictors that I have seen are VERY cool looking and I am sure they would cut down on what ever wind you do get. I thought about it but didn't want to add the hardware onto my vert.

I agree, you can actually hear the radio in the C7, unlike my C6 with the top down.

This is good to know. Hated my '06 with the top down. Couldn't hear myself think. Of course, the GHL exhaust didn't help matters much either.

The stock wind management is handled so well, you can drive with the top down @45 degrees, and on a call with no issues.

Well maybe cold hands

Nothing says you can't run the heat with the top down. Pretty comfy down to 25 or so, actually.

Agree that the C7 Corvette has excellently low wind intrusion, buffeting and noise compared to many convertibles.

Except for one issue: I have a bit of a longer torso, and don't like to recline the seat so much which means the windshield is not quite high enough to keep the wind off my forehead as much as I would want. Easy to fix by reclining the seat an inch or two, or wear a hat.

I had one on my C7 vert. Bought it more for the looks because I took a couple 200 mile trips with the top down all the time and it was enjoyable. It really didn't make much difference.

It looks great but not very effective.

i ran three events at ponoco infield last year with top down, 80 mph plus, yes i had a helmet on( open face) no wind on my face or eyes. the car sounds great with the top down, i did have tiny rocks flying in car while in the paddock with wheels turned and hoosiers hot!

I didn't see a need for it to tell you the truth. Wind buffeting is minimal with the top down as others have said. More importantly, the lines of the C7 restrictor don't flow as well with the body as the one for the C6.
