Default It's Official....NO days driven in February!

For the first time in 12 years of Corvette ownership, I went through an entire month without driving one of my Vettes.

Snow is falling now and we are suppose to get between 4-6 inches in the next 24 hours.

We were in San Diego 2 weeks ago and it was in the mid 80's. All I could think about is how I wish I had my Stingray with me!

One Corvette-in-storage winter long ago my "winterbeater" was an AMC Eagle wagon. Yuck!

Spring couldn't come soon enough. It will come soon for you guys in KS, just not now.

Best wishes for a beautiful Corvette spring!

Yea, last drove mine second week of January. Every other day an inch or two of slop, last six weeks! Car is ready, I'm ready, weather guesser talking about rain this coming week - hopefully next weekend the streets will have been washed. I was in Dallas TX two weeks ago, I left our cold weather there.

I'm also in the 'no drive in Feb club'. It's Saturday and all I want to do is take her for a drive. Ugh.

AMC Eagle wagon......

I would definitely rock in one of those or the sedan as a winter beater. Is there any rust on it?

I washed my 'Vette today, may take it out for a drive, drove it or could've driven it everyday this month if I wanted to.

Hopefully, some time in April for my Minneapolis C7 vert first Spring drive.

To be clear, it's not like I live in N. Minnesota or Canada....or BOSTON. We have only had a little snow. But the temps have been crazy low. When it gets warmer, it rained. Combine that with roads covered with ice-melt chemicals and salts kept the car tucked in the third bay for the month.

We have two Benz's that do the winter duty with ease....but would rather be driving the C7

I know I'm opening myself up for all sorts of comments...so fire away.

The mileage per day sadly decreased sharply in November and December, and the only driving in January and February has been a few miles as mentioned below. There's been a total of about 3 feet of snow that fell here, with about 18" still in the yard...so needless to say, very little mileage for the last few months.

I'm soliciting thoughts on starting my 2015 Stingray M7 with 4,000 mi every 3 days, running it for 20-30 minutes (until all temps indicate normal operating temp) when ambient temperature is 25-35 degrees F. Garage temperature varies from 39F -45F. I rev it to 2.5k - 3.5k a few times with the Performance Exhaust in Track Mode to clear out as much of the condensation from the exhaust system as possible (without aggravating the neighbors)...or take it for 1 - 5 mile trip around the block. If I take it around the block I rinse the undercarriage with warm water from a 3 gal pump sprayer to remove any salt residue.

Thanks.
