Default A great day for mods in the driveway

It finally got up around 70 degrees here in SC today. It was great to get out in the driveway in the sunshine and do some mods.

Got my new personalized plate on

Got my body colored heat extractor on - Thanks Don at RPI!!!

Got that ugly silver foil covered in the engine bay

And got my hood lid insert on

Also put my fluid covers on but can't decide if I really like them.

Anyone interested in a half price deal on fluid covers??

All in all a fun day in the driveway.

I think you did a great job? I'm a big fan of the white and black combo. Here is a possible option if your not loving those caps. White is another viable option as well. You can even have your dipstick done.

Yes those look great.. In fact I am having Pat at American Hydrocarbon do a arctic white dipstick for me. I think I am going to also have the other fluid caps done in Carbon. I guess I will just put the other covers on the "wanted or for sale" forum and see if someone wants to give me half price.

Of course before I do that I have to have the conversation with my wife were I tell her I am not going to use the covers I spent $180 bucks for and I am going to spend the same amount again for other covers....we all know that conversation is followed by "the look" all of us who are married are familiar with "THE LOOK"""

Paul -
I saw that look from your wife when we met at lashway.... when she got out of the car in their garage, the first thing she said is "we spent 10 grand on this car and we just got it a week or two ago!" I dont think she was shocked at the amount you spent, just how fast it went! LOL We all know that feeling here!!

Hope you're doing well.....

Yeah I remember that comment too My wife still comments on how nice it was of you to go out of your way to seal our aero kit for us.

PK,

Love everything! Don't change a thing!

The caps look better than no caps at all. I really love the hood liner. Is that from RPI?

One more thing-what did you wrap your aluminum with? I'd LOVE to wrap mine and get rid of that aluminum in the engine compartment.

Steve,

The hood liner is from Car Motorsports it is embroidered rather than painted.

I covered the aluminum with a section of large flexible cable channel I got at the car audio store.

A quick note.

You can paint your dipstick handle with touch up paint.
A great inexpensive good looking easy mod.

Nice Mods, follow convertible owner here. Would like to know where you purchased the trunk lid insert and how it's attached?

I purchased the trunk lid insert on eBay. It is attached with double sided Velcro tape.
