Default Will any 2016 GM autos to feature collision avoidance?

topic may have been previously covered. Cadillac and Corvette likely first vehicles with such systems that'll likely be required on all new vehicles within a short few years. Anybody driven one? thoughts?

My 2013 Chevy Equinox LTZ has a collision warning system, as well as a lane change/drift warning system. It doesn't take over control of the car but it does emit warning sounds and symbols and overrides the sound system in the vehicle.

Default my wife's 7 year old Infinity...

has lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control(both of which to me seem almost like gimmicks) I'm wondering about the actual automatic braking(as seen on TV on Merc. and Subaru ads)

My 12 Chrysler 300C and my wifes 14 Durango both have adaptive cruise and both have anti collision but the 300 wont brake automatically. I like both systems a lot. ACC is real good in traffic on the interstate. GM is always behind everyone.

I wish my C7 had blind spot warning. The blind spots are huge! My wife's Nissan Rogue has it and it works pretty good. Her Rogue also has "surround view", cameras on all 4 sides. You can see at a glance where the curbs are, and no running into the tire stops in parking lots. I want that on my C7 as well. Oh yeah, and motion sensing behind the car when backing up. And forward collision warning too. All that is pretty cool but my Vette gets better highway mileage than her Rogue. It ticks her off a bit but that's one of life's little pleasures.

The 2014 ELR has active CA. My 2013 Volt has passive CA. Not sure what your question is.

Personally I use my eyes, steering wheel, and brake pedal.

Seems to be a simple logical and cost effective process. Too bad we have to pay for all the new and in many cases not needed tech due to drivers who do not use their eyes, steering wheel and brake pedal.

How do you drink coffee, shave, surf Facebook, and text while doing that though?
