Exhaust sound
When car is in touring mode can you change sound to sport or track without changing to those modes with the console dial? I.e. Just change sound but not driving mode. Thanks

Go into your settings, then sound management, then select something to the effect of "off" or something like that, it's in there.
or if you have a 2014 remove the underhood fuse #41, #42 if it's a 2015 and it will be loud 100% of the time no matter what mode you're in but that's only if you have NPP.
or, just do a search, there's a bunch of threads about it.

I was tempted to use sound management to open the pipes full time but I have to admit I enjoy stealth mode at times. So far I am still coupled to driving mode.

YES You can.....but if you have a '15.....in the Sound Management screen, there us no OFF as there was in the '14's.....what you can do is just select TRACK and it will keep them open all the time. there is another thread about this somewhere, but its the first thing I did after picking up the car.......I drive on the highway a LOT everyday, and as long as you are cruising....its very nice sound.....and when you get on it, even a little bit, it really starts to GROWL. so there isn't a need to pull a fuse.

I shouldn't have paid for NPP, I guess. Should have waited and gotten an after market setup.

Seriously, it sounds like your NPP is not working properly, i.e., stuck on "Touring." In mine there is a huge difference in sound between Track/Sport and Touring, and it's way louder than my C6 with an aftermarket system.

This thread is very confusing. Seems to be a great difference of opinion on the sound emanating from the quad pipes of these cars. HMMMM?

one thing you have to remember.....this is very important.....even when pinned to track mode, or even if you pull the fuse....if/when you are in any mode but TRACK, and set your cruise or at least maintain a steady constant speed, your car WILL go into 4 cylinder mode which will quiet it down a LOT! and I mean a WHOLE LOT BUT as soon as you bump the throttle, even a little bit, it will go into V8 mode and it "wakes up" ESPECIALLY if you "get on it".

I put mine in full-time Sport mode in the settings thinking I would soon tire of the frequent throaty exhaust tone and dial it back, but that hasn't happened yet.

All those years of driving vettes must have damaged your hearing, Liz.

Seriously, the NPP just sound like not much of anything.

If I pull the fuse will that make a difference? Keep in mind, I've already got sound management OFF.
