Default Laguna Blue Calipers on a 2015 Laguna Blue Z06~Mike Furman's only Mod ever!

To Mod or not to Mod...that is the Question. Ever since I viewed Laguna Blue as a C7 color I had wanted Blue calipers like the 2009-13 ZR1...but when the caliper colors were announced there was no Blue caliper option...so I have followed Mike down in Georgia and his Powder Coating. I asked Tony of Tony's Corvette Shop Fame (I have known Tony for 26 yrs as he lives 1 mile from me and his shop is 2 miles from me) if he has worked with Mike before and he said "many times." So the plan was hatched when the weather got a little better I would bring my new Z06(only 85 miles since December 4th delivery) to Tony's shop and he would over night my calipers to Mike to be powder coated Laguna Blue and I chose the Silver-ish white lettering instead of Black as I didn't want the letters to get lost. Last Friday afternoon I dropped my Z off and yesterday I picked it up completed. 6 day turn around and I was very happy with the results. I am usually a STOCK vehicle guy as I have owned 44 Musclecars and 15 Corvettes and not one of them ever had any modifications what so ever. Enjoy the pictures...next time Tony and I get together it will be to take pictures of his TWO 1963 Z06's (yes he owns 2!) and my Z06 for pictures.

Be nice if Corvette made Blue Calipers as an option.

Thanks for the thread.

Looks great with blue calipers. Looking forward to seeing your big engine Z06 next to your pal's big tank Z06s.. If I recall correctly, weren't the 1963 Z06s also radio delete cars?

Sorry, calipers need a contrasting color to be seen. Blue gets lost in shadow/dark.

I actually think it is less in your face but still quite noticeable. I like it a lot Mike.

Now that the weather is just starting to cooperate I hope you get a chance to get out and drive it a bit more!

That looks fantastic! And now that you are no longer a mod virgin, the floodgates are open and let's see what else you can do!

much better than silver (color of rotors) or black (color of inside the wheel)
