Default Z06 Taillights

Well I finally bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on some Z Taillights and I couldn't be more happier. Big shout out to Gene at Cultrag Performance.

The install was straightforward. Removing the rear bumper was a process but just took some research and patience. I am going to work up a procedure if anyone is interested.

If anybody is kicking around the idea of doing this mod go for it! You'll love the look:

I'm not a fan of the clear Z06 taillights. Too 1990's for me. But will say, your car is the first one that I think they actually fit on. Silver seems to be about the only color that, in my opinion, they look "right" on. All other colors I've seen, including on the actual Z06 cars, the just look cheap to me. Just like with any mod, some look good on certain colors and not on other colors. In this case, yours looks good with your color. Enjoy!

That looks fantastic on your car. Been thinking about doing this as well. Your color, perfect mod to do. Great job.

Thanks!

HRE P40sc in 20/21 with 285 front and 375 rear. Got them from Gerry at wheels for less. Couldn't be happier.

Yea I know exactly what you mean. I had to do a little homework and see a silver Z with them before I made a decision. I think they look great on lighter colored cars.

I agree, these lights don't do it for me, but on your silver, they fit perfectly.

For complex wheels like this, save your self time and effort by doing this, nothing works better:

I would be interested in your procedure when you have a chance to post it. I have the ZO6 lights waiting to go onto my SG car. I'm waiting for the rear diffuser to arrive from Ben at Weaponex, and I'll do both the lights and diffuser at the same time. (And will post pics.)

Sure. I will send it your way when I get it finished up. Will probably be this weekend. Need to shoot a few more pictures.

I would be interested in the procedure as well, since I will receive a carbon fiber spoiler to replace the original one, and the bumper has to be removed. On another note, what % did you do for your window tinting? And did you tint the windshield as well? Thx!

Will do.
The tint is the legal 25% on the sides and 5% in the rear. The windshield is not tinted. No
