Default Get a grip on it.

I always pop my top by myself. My wife doesn't like to drive topless so I'm usually at it alone. The tops is very light but it's size is somewhat awkward to get 2 hands on, I always wished there was a handle in the middle. Well now there is, and it's great. No way this puppy is coming loose on this top. You can keep it attached while in the trunk so no need to re-attach, 1 grab is good for both removal and re-install. Best $13 I have spent on the car and zero Corvette tax. It comes with covers for the suction cups to keep them clean and as expected you would want zero dirt on your roof before using.

Nope nothing. As long as both are clean it should be fine.

The following seems to weigh less at 8.8 ounces as opposed to 1lb:

http://www.amazon.com/FastCap-HOD-SI...dp/B001MX9MDA/

It also only seems to be rated at half the load. However, I think the 100 lb rating should be more than enough! The size savings is pretty high also.

Not sure if I should try this. But it's a good idea.

I use this one very similar to cheapthrills. Works beautifully. I just wipe all surfaces before using to avoid possible scratches and never a problem.
This style is much better to control the top in both vertical and horizontal planes compared to the single pad mentioned above. easy peasy!

Interesting....I have my roof covered in SunTec - I wonder if that device would damage or pull it away from the roof. I often take my roof off by myself and something like this would be handy.

Wow. What a great idea. I'm surprised that this is the first time I saw this.
