That spoiler really makes a difference in the look of the car. Good choice and a nice install you did.

stick on spoiler
Did the spoiler fit essentially "perfect" or were there some small gaps between the spoiler and the body, especially the left and right ends, before pressing down to adhere the spoiler tape?
The stock GM Z51 spoiler has thin foam under it in some places so there is still a minimal gap between the body and the spoiler even after bolting the original Z51 spoiler down.
source/vendor?

Called Spoiler Express today and they only have the one for 257 plus 75 for paint and it sticks on or bolts on. Still a little cheaper than some of the others. It is fiberglass. The one they advertise for 150 is bolt on and back ordered and they have no idea when they will get any, also is ABS Plastic.
Not as cheap as ArcticC7 but cheaper than most of the vendors. Hopefully he will get back to us

I bought the one from corvettemods and when I took it to my friend who owns a body shop he refused to use the stick on method citing dirt and other crap that will compromise the spoiler's adhesion after time.Though he would not charge me he went with the bolt on method which requires the back end of the car to be removed.

Very good advice for long term use.....the tape will hold, but will get dirty and eventually loosen a bit..

So let me start the spoiler is a beautiful piece light and very well painted. I added silicone adheasive in addition to the double sided tape inbetween the two strips of tape on both sides for extra added safety in case the tape decides to let go in the future. The second to the last photo is of the bead of silicone I added to hide the double sided tape. It was not that noticable but I feel this added a nice seamless look between the spoiler and the car body. The last photo is the finished install. This is the same spoiler Corvette Mods sells but it was not purchased from them.

Looks good. Yeah, no worries about it falling off... I assume that it comes with some type of 3M Automotive tape, which is good, and used for adhering molding, lovuvers, fender flares, etc., in OEM applications. Some don't realized that they use similar pressure acrylic tape in construction applications to adhere windows to sub-framing in skyscrapers. "Tape" has come a long way...
Always have to smile when I see your “Avatar!” There are much better pictures of “Old Blue Eyes” then when he was convicted of messing with someone’s wife! Must have been the judges!

Easier to install at the factory level they just need to match holes with holes. No need for alignment and the possibility of a crooked install. Bowling Green cant seem to even align the Corvette word on the rear end straight. Everyone I see is tilting this way or that way. It also makes it easer with bolts to service the CHMSL. That would be the only reason I wouldn't tape it on, Its never going to just fall off with that 3m tape it will make it harder to remove the CHMSL and im sure thats why GM bolts it on as well.

Many Car Haulers and work trailers have the siding just taped on. The same tape is even available at the auto parts store, VHB is some good stuff when applied correctly.
