Hey corvetteforum! I'll be buying a c7 real soon. Long story short, I want to know if I can buy the leather trim pieces on the dash that come along with the 3lt.
On a side note:
I just recently read/watched

This guy is awesome! He is going to save me from the $995 on the carbon fiber panel for the interior.

Probably better to just buy a 3LT. Even if you could purchase the 3LT leather dash pieces aftermarket, it would not match the (fake) leather on the doors and the rest of the car. Would not look right.

It's interesting how you can buy the CF dash for about 40% below the cost of the option.
I wonder if that applies to to 3LT pieces. Of course labor is FREE if you can tackle a job like this w/o breaking anything. Then there is the potential to sell off the old pieces further reducing your out of pocket.

I added the same parts to my 2LT in Kalahari, Patrick at Cultrag got them for me. The passenger trim pad is a little tricky since it has some screws involved but most are snap in clips.

I'm trying to imagine who would want 1LT/2LT dash pieces. Someone who accidentally spilled acid on theirs? Someone who got in a knife fight inside the car?

This isn't exactly on topic, but it's closely related...
I currently have another thread going on the Forum asking for input regarding the best fix for defective leather in one of the dashboard trim pieces of my Kalahari 3LT interior: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...er-defect.html
Some have suggested that it's necessary to replace the entire dashboard, but this thread seems to indicate that the individual 3LT dashboard trim pieces can be ordered from Chevrolet and installed separately. If so, this would seem to be the ideal fix for my problem.
Following are a couple photos showing the problem I have. I'd appreciate any specific suggestions from respondents to this thread on whether it is possible/practical to simply replace the defective panel without tearing out and replacing the entire dashboard.
Thanks in advance for the replies...
