All kidding aside, enjoy your new to you C7!

Too funny! You guys don't miss a thing!
Since I was road trippin I really wanted to see what kind of mileage I could get. I was between 70 and 80 the whole trip and averaged 29.6 MPG. Incredible.

But trust me, as soon as I hit a ramp to get off the highway for gas or food, it was in S mode! LOL

Hey neighbor! Congrats on your beautiful new C7. I looked at 2 Premier 2014s as well before I bought my Cyber Grey. Those ar my 2 favorite colors on the C7!

Hopefully we'll catch up at an event or Cars and Coffe at the Times Union garage.

PS, the look on your son's face says it all, fantastic!!

I had a thread recently about a Premier edition that I had found and by the time I got around to being ready to make the purchase it was bought by someone else that day. I did find 3 other Premier's and 2 of them had the clear roof which was a big NO for me, but the third had the Carbon Fiber roof, so I called on it. Guess what, it sold just hours before I called. I found another car, not a premier but pretty darn close. Not a Z51 though.

It is a used 2014 3LT Base Laguna Blue with Brownstone, Chrome Wheels, Carbon Fiber dash and the Z51 spoiler.

It was a bit of a long-distance purchase so I just got home after a 500 mile drive through a fair amount of rain. It was a great drive though and I thoroughly enjoyed the car. So now she sits all road-grimey in the garage until I can clean her up and wax her. Then I'll get much better pics and post 'em up. 'Till then, these are the 2 pics I got.
(Please excuse my garage)

Congrats on the new car. As I recall from your previous post you said something about the wife putting a Kabosh to buying after the other one sold. Just curious how did you get her to change her mind?

Congrats on the new Vette! You picked the BEST color combo IMHO...then, I'm a little bit biased! Love the picture of your son. Our oldest son went to the Museum with my wife and I to pick ours up. I'm fortunate to have three sons who all got my affinity for all things automotive! Enjoy yours in good health!

Yes, I am planning on being at the next one. My son and I have been going (when possible) for the last few months. He's become obsessed with cars. (Me too, well I always have been).

This year was the first time I went to the C&C up at the Concours. That was a blast and I think I'll be going every year from now on.

Yes, you're right. I'm not sure exactly but this car was about 5-6k less than the others I was looking at so that probably helped. So far I don't regret not having the Z51. It's an amazing car regardless.

That was really my dream, to be able to get a Museum Delivery. But it wasn't in the cards at this time. Maybe down the road, the hope is still alive. But at least I have one to drive now! :-)

Haha, I'll be sure NOT to tell him that! He has a thousand questions everytime we've been in the car so far. Wanted me to take him to school in it today.

To me it looks as if he is in eco mode and 7th gear.

After about 5 hours work, I got the car all cleaned up and wax per Glen_e's methods. I'm using mostly Blackfire products. Actually have been for a while now after learning about it here on Corvette Forum long before I ever got a Vette for myself.

Took it out this afternoon for a quick ride and some pictures. I'll also post them on the Laguna Blue thread.

Garage tip: Hang a tennis ball from your ceiling to the center of your windshield. Easy guide for perfect garage parking every time.
