Default FORGOT VALET MODE PASSWORD! Help me!

Took my lady out for dinner. Get in the car and I can't recall what my code is. For some reason I decided to not enter what I normally enter and I totally lost it. How do I go about resetting? The dealer is closed till late tomorrow and I called onstar and she said the infotainment system office is closed till Monday. I can't drive around like this.. If any of you guys have and info please help me. Thanks.. Btw, I love this new C7!

I believe you can just disconnect the battery for a few minutes and it will clear the valet mode. Another member here had to do it.

I disconnected it for a minute or so.. Still no luck. Should I leave it disconnected overnight?

is it that easy to reset it? remember the mechanic who was cussing the owner out because he put it in valet mode? all he would do is disconnect battery for 10 minutes to get off of it then???

It shouldn't be that hard to reset. I know with older cars when you disconnect it asks for a code once it loads back up. I'm not sure.. But I know this thread will determine exactly what we have to do if it happens to anyone else lol.

Richtwo1......just something to think about for the future.....make yourself a little note pad file in your phone and save it there, or at least a CLUE that only you would know to jog your memory in the future.

You might try the " return to factory settings" and see if that works.

Will be interesting to hear what has to be done to clear the valet mode if you forget the code. I have the same thing in my '15 Impala and while I haven't used it yet, I'd like to know just in case I do and forget the code.

Only the dealers tech2 system can reset the code. It will require a trip to the dealer.

Is that accessible in valet mode? I don't think so.

How do we know you own the car yourself? Think about it. If it was that easy to get around the code, anybody could do it in a flash.

I use passwords the relate to some person, place, or thing. Most people do likewise, try thinking back to the events of the day, focus on those to recall entered pass word. I have never used valet mode or read about it, thinking there is a way or master password to reset system.

No. I can't get to it. I'm taking it to the dealer in the morning.
